COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blend of 1, 2, and 3 year old lambics.
A true Geuze - a blend of 1, 2, and 3 year-old lambic, unfiltered and unpasteurized, and aged in the bottle for at least a year after blending. Refermentation in the bottle gives this Geuze its famous champagne-like spritziness. The lambic that goes into it is brewed only with 60% barley malt, 40% unmalted wheat, aged hops, and water, spontaneously fermented by wild yeasts, and matured in oak casks.

2012 vintage picked up at West Lakeview Liquors in Chicago. I was surprised to see a few of these 750’s sitting on the shelve. If nobody else wants them, I would be happy to dispose of them. Sampled in a Piraat tulip. The beer pours a light yellow-orange/peach in color with about a finger and a half worth of frothy white head. Nose is a beautiful melange of lemon, apricot, must, horse blanket, and some urine. Flavor is lemon rind, peach, must, oak, some faint bitterness, and is still moderately sweet. Once the funk takes over a bit more, the sweetness will disappear, but this blend is still a little young so it needs to sit awhile. Spritzy carbonation, almost overcarbonated honestly, gentle acidity, medium bodied, and a long finish. This has served as my favorite standard gueuze for awhile now. It is the perfect balance between bright lactic acidity and funk. Cant wait to let these 750’s sit in a dark corner of the cellar for a couple years.

Apple vinegar, wood, cellar, funky, white ribes, golden with a thin white head, light body, fizzy, good intensity, again wood and apple....very easy to drink, refreshing and complex.

Vynikající gueuze , neslazen, se skvělou ovocnou vůní s tóny hroznů,citronové kůry, se silnějším řízem, bohatou chutí a hustší, rychle se vytrácející pěnou.

75 cl. bottle @ home, gift from Dennis and Patries. Hazy golden with a white head. Green apples, barnyard, tart aroma. Taste is sour and mouthfeel is very gentle. Hard to describe the awesomeness of this bottle on a hot Saturday afternoon.

Potentă în aromă, cu funk, acreală la greu, zeamă de lămâie, agrișe, mere verzi, brett. Gustul, pe lângă toate treburile de mai sus are și niște struguri albi și iarbă proaspătă. Barnyard all the way

Aroma is rather delicate, village, red currant, some wood/leather notes too, of course. Taste is sweet, fine, aftertaste a little tarty but fine. High carbonated, nice foam.

Leicht trübes Goldgelb mit reichlich cremigen Schaum. Fruchtig, grüne Äpfel, Zitrus, Trauben, leicht säuerlich, trocken, etwas Barrique.

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2017 2016 bottle. Hazy orange beer with small, durable white head. Aroma of apple skins, sour berries, citrus, barnyard. Taste is dry, medium+ sour, apple, citrus, lemon, grape, berry, leather, light oak, with acidic, tannic finish. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. Young, yet very good gueuze.
