Blend of 1, 2, and 3 year old lambics.
A true Geuze - a blend of 1, 2, and 3 year-old lambic, unfiltered and unpasteurized, and aged in the bottle for at least a year after blending. Refermentation in the bottle gives this Geuze its famous champagne-like spritziness. The lambic that goes into it is brewed only with 60% barley malt, 40% unmalted wheat, aged hops, and water, spontaneously fermented by wild yeasts, and matured in oak casks.

Bottle 31-3-09. Slightly hazy orange-amber body with a large loose white head. Highly carbonated. Aroma/taste: oak, vinegar, fruity and a very strong sour, acidic body and a bitter, acidic finish. Very light mouthfeel.

Bottle 37.5cl. Opaque honey colour. Moderate airy head. Low retention. Aroma: nice fruity acidity, barnyard, sunflower seeds, minor hay. Very cool. Light to medium body. The taste is fairly sour still soft & mild. Small wildness. So fruity. Pretty tart ending. Splendid.

Bill Becker (1773) - Casper, Wyoming, USA - NOV 2, 2017
From Feb 2008 I bought this from South Bay Drugs & Liquors. It pours from caged & corked and then gold foiled 750ml bottle( bottled 17 Jan 2006) a cloudy and very bubbly orange with a 2 finger head of foam(it started to semi gush about 5 seconds after opening) and some nice sticky lacing. The foam shrinks to a solid layer after a while but stays for the entire session. The smell I noticed as soon as I popped the cork. Very sour with notes of lemon, and some minor spice in there as well but *that* was hard to pick out. The taste on first sip is also very sour but I almost immediately notice some peppery notes and a good flavour of funk that work together to cut some of the sourness. Ah, this is a fine sipping brew..I guess I'm a fan of the style because I certainly do favour sour ales of similar ilk. The mouthfeel is on the thin side(that's ok) and the carbonation isn't as high as I would have thought judging from the pour. The finish is has a citrusy dryness to it along with another dash of pepper and funk. I'm finding that the contents of the bottle are diminishing way to quickly...always a good sign when I'm having a brew. ;^) Bottom line: A very tasty and enjoyable sipping example of the style that I can only recommend but I'd also recommend trying before buying(if at all possible) because sour ales aren't everyone's cup of tea. ;^)

Bottle shared by Logan. Pours a bubbly, pale yellow color, with no real head. The nose is orange peels, yogurt, vanilla, and wet grass. Sweet and citrusy up front, with a good, tart flavor coming forward. There's a surprising bitterness in there, too. Light to medium body, hard and minerally, but crisp and effervescent. This is a well made and fun gueuze.

Copenhagen 28/10-2017. 75 cl bottle from Vin De Table, NV. From the 16/17 season (assemblages no. 8) with an ABV of 5,4. Simple stylish bottle wit a big "3" printed on the bottle. Pours hazy golden yellow with small white head. Settles as thin rim of foam alongside the side of the glass. No lacing. Settles as thin patch of foam floating aimlessly around. Aroma is fresh and tart with a nice dry streak. Some slightly sweeter unripe apples in the background. Fairly strong carbonation and watery palate. Flavor is tart fruit with only subdued sweetness. Finish is dry as a white wine. Nice crisp and dry geuze. Makes me miss summer.

kaserov (982) - Oviedo, SPAIN - OCT 25, 2017
Seca.

OminouSC2 (897) - Mora, SWEDEN - OCT 24, 2017
Golden color, large beige head. Tart aromas with gooseberries, vinegar, citrus and earthy hints. Sour taste with earth, gooseberries and lemon juice. Too sour for me.
