Bottle. Dark amber with a pale beige head. Floral and fruity aroma with pears, peaches, light toffee, pepper. Fairly light-bodied with more fruit and peppery hops than toffee. A little too much carbonation for me for this sort of thing. Lacks a bit of presence for the ABV, but the hops are zingy enough to stop it from being bland. Refreshing. A slightly modern variant on the real thing. Malts are a bit tight and show a mineral tinge (not quite the typical toffee). Hops are obvious but mild. Some creaminess but the finish is dry.
