bottle pours dark black with a creamy brown head. Aroma of lots of ginger with some mint chocolate and roasted grain. Taste is a peppery hit of ginger and dark roasted malt with a long bitter roasty finish. Medium bodied and lightly carbonated for a syrupy mouthfeel. . portableparty (2350) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - JUL 17, 2016
12 oz. bottle. Pours brown near black with a soapy khaki head that fades to a thin soapy film and lacing. Aroma has clove ginger and chocolate with a malty ending taste is a bit spicy with ginger chocolate and finishes malty. Palate is medium to full with a chalky dry finish. Pretty tasty! mrjaxson (587) - .08 Junction, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 24, 2016
This one should come with a warning: Do not drink a pint! This is a sampler or small snifter beer. The chocolate-ginger combination can become too much of a good thing. I like it but I like it most when drinking a few ounces. deyholla (11605) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 12, 2016
Sampled from the tap at Winter Dabbler. Pours near black with a creamy brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of ginger coming through with sweet dark grains and chocolate coming through. Flavor is similar with dark grains, sweet chocolate and a bit of ginger. ccex (1313) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 5, 2015
12 oz. bottle pours a dark brown with small but lasting beige head. Aroma is full of ginger with some mint chocolate and vanilla. Taste is sweet, with some roastiness coming out in the flavor as it warms up. Body is medium with slight carbonation and an almost sticky mouthfeel. This is a great dessert, in liquid form.

3/7/15 (Bottle) - Nice dark brown / black pour with solid pillow tan head. Ginger, malt, chocolate, vanilla and sage among the wonderful aromas emanating from the pour. Very sweet, taste, thin texture with minimal carbonation. This is a nice drink to pair with dessert or to cap off a meal, with a decent kick. I typically do not like sweet beers but this is an exception, because of the quality, taste and abv. One of my favorite 3 Sheeps offerings! troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - FEB 16, 2015
[Tap] 2013 vintage. Nearly black in color with a silky head. Aromas of chocolate, ginger root and anise. The taste is very ginger forward. Herbal hops, mint, chocolate, sticky toffee, clove and a nice roasty character blend well with the ginger. Low carbonation levels. I was really happy with this one, even though I am not a huge fan of ginger flavoring in beers. Tasting notes from Big Blue Craft Beer Festival in Sheboygan on 10/18/14. Bottle from Woodmans in Waukesha. Pours a dark brown with reddish hints. No lace. Aroma leads with ginger. And follows with ginger. Later some malts show through.Taste is sweet malt, and ginger and other Chinese foods flavors. Stuff would like to eat, but not really drink. Medium bodied without any real distinction. Finishes spicy and tangy, and sweet, but without much length. Interesting idea, but too limited. 13.2 SudsMcDuff (8429) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - JAN 31, 2015
