Remember the first time you went left when logic and everyone else told you to go right? When you looked down the road that would safely take you to exactly the same place it always did, and you chose another path? That’s what Really Cool Waterslides is all about: choosing a dream. Looking uncertainty in the eye and whispering menacingly, “Let’s dance.”

Location: Bottle at the Publican, 7/2/14

Aroma: The nose is citrus and floral hops with some caramel malt backing
Appearance: Pours a hazed amberish color with a smallish off-white head and decent lace
Flavor: The taste is medium-plus bitter, nice hoppiness, and a solid malt backbone
Palate: The body is medium, it has a pretty solid mouthfeel, and a mid-dry finish
Overall Impression: This one was a nice, enjoyable, plenty drinkable IPA. It worked nicely and paired nicely with the food. Good beer.

Large off white head with good retention and a coating lasting lace. Hazy, burnt copper color. Tame nose of malts and faint citrus, grainy. Body is medium with a bit aggressive carbonation, somewhat astringent, minerally. Grainy malts up front, metal is didtracting. Dry finish, gassy, aspiriny. Probably turnin. Bottle from MOTORTODDHEAD. Thanks buddy!

Pours a hazy orange with slight lacing white head. Aroma is balanced with notes of hop, citrus, pine, and a bit of caramel sweetness. Flavor is sweet, with a bit of soapy hop, a medium body, and a average duration. Overall a decent IPA

Hazy. Good head. Nice and bitter. Floral and citrus in the nose. Grapefruit and resin up front. Really good.

Glad to see my hometown producing a quality beer. Floral and fruity aroma with the perfect amount of hops.

Poured from a bottle to a shaker glass. Rich, foamy, lasting head sits on a nice, deep gold beer. Average aroma with hints of malt and orange. Flavor is quite malt forward with a mellow sweetness of caramel and toffee followed by a palate cleansing burst of hops. Definitely more brown than the green of a big west coast IPA. Not bad, but sweeter than a typical IPA, although it does have a good, bitter finish and a nice mouth feel throughout. I’m going to have to think about this one for a while and probably come back and re-rate eventually.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2014 Dark golden amber color. Darker then most IPAs. Nice citrus pineapple aroma. Very bitter taste. Lots of citrus flavor. I get pineapple and some grapefruit tastes. For the price, this is an excellent beer.

An excellent all-round IPA. Not so bold and high ABV as to be an occasional drink, yet not without aroma, great flavor and balance. My go-to IPA.

Bottle pour copper. Nose butterscotch sweetness and some dank hop. Bitter bite up front followed by dank hop and vague sweetness. Earthy bitter finish.
