COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Remember the first time you went left when logic and everyone else told you to go right? When you looked down the road that would safely take you to exactly the same place it always did, and you chose another path? That’s what Really Cool Waterslides is all about: choosing a dream. Looking uncertainty in the eye and whispering menacingly, “Let’s dance.”

Scipio (1310) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - SEP 18, 2013
Pours a clear amber with a full and robust, long lasting head. Aroma is fruity, with orange, apricot, and peach, to go along with undertones of caramel and pine. The taste is big on hops and pine, with the fruity impressions from the nose being minor. It has a good initial bitter hoppy kick, but it is rather short. The aftertaste is a mild pine, but that lingers in your mouth for quite awhile. Medium bodied, with a slick texture, below average carbonation for a beer of this style. This one is pretty good, but its very easy to find something better, especially for an IPA.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Bottle. Slightly hazy orange pour with a big soapy head. Citrus, floral, and mild pine. Juicy and tasty - I like this.

Amber pour with an off-white head. Aroma is spicy hops, sweetness. Taste is nice hop flavor from first sip-spicy, nice balance of malt and hops. Great lacing.

Had this in Madison, WI at the Old Fasioned Tavern, poured from draft part of a flight. Very sweet and fruity aroma and taste. Bubble gum flavor. Good, balanced.

Tasted from a 12oz bottle. It poured hazy amber in color, with a slightly orange head and sporadic lacing. Hop aroma with hints of citrus. A well hoped taste bit a bit of a grapefruit finish.

Had it out of a bottle, poured a hazy copper hue with a thin head and a hint of a hop aroma and a taste that has a bold hop bitterness.

Shared 12 oz. bottle poured to snifters with a hazed, orangy amber color, a soft white, bubbles and film head, and spotty lacing. The nose was light resin, citrus, with highlighted tangerine. Moderately bitter, with a light to medium body, and okay carbonation. A decently satisfying IPA.

A good, solid IPA. Appearance is golden and clear. Taste has medium bitterness. My go to beer

Bottle from Tosa Wine & Spirits. Pours a clear golden orange with a foamy white head leaving terrific lacing. Exactly what you want to sit down with at the end of a day. Aroma has pine and citrus. Nice centennial/cascade!! Some caramel also. First sip starts with sweet caramel and then some spicy pine and bitter orangey/grapefruit kick in. More pitted fruit flavors follow. Medium bodied and slightly sticky. The blend of flavors do not come all of the way together cleanly, but each are stated nicely. Finishes somewhat lightly, and sweet with some bitterness back. Hmmm. An interesting easy drinking local IPA. I would have another.
