4oz sample at Churchkey’s 3 Stars 1st Anniversary event. Pours an oily, translucent, mahogany amber with one ring of white head. Boozy nose, coconut, vanilla, caramel, toast, coffee, rum. Flavor is sweet, malty, cola, brown sugar, vanilla, cakey, light coffee, toast, whiskey. Full boozy finish. A touch hot. Best Pandemic treatment I’ve had. Tap at Churchkey. Pours opaque black with a small, fizzy tan head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is figs, raisins, prunes, chocolate and roast malt, bourbon, oak, and earthy/spicy hops. Flavor is dark malt, vanilla, bourbon, dark fruit, light hops, medium-light bitterness, and a dry finish. Full body, warm and medium carbonation. Cask at ChurchKey. Pretty much black, tiny tan edge head. Aroma of dusty vanilla, chocolate, dates. Taste is slightly boozy coffee, cocoa, whiskey. Decent.
