750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of sweet and nutty and chocolaty malts, some light pecans, hints of EtOH, and some dough and light bitterness. Flavor the same. Average texture. Boring but not bad.

jbruner (5008) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - SEP 12, 2016
Pours a deep brownish black from the bomber with bubbly tan head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma and taste of dark malts, nuttiness, chocolate, and a hint of booze. A little musty, and a bit weird on the tongue, not bad, but not great.

3.5
MadRobin (2988) - Silver Spring, Maryland, USA - JUN 8, 2016
On tap at Whole Foods in Vienna, VA. Opaque, black-brown with a tan head and good lacing. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, pecans and a little molasses. Taste of pecans, chocolate, molasses and roasted malt. The pecans and chocolate come through strongly--sort of like a pecan butter cup, if such a thing existed. Medium body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Nutty and slightly sweet and bitter. Robust feel with little of the abv showing. Not very deep, really, but tasty.

3.8
floydslip (412) - Washington DC, USA - MAR 12, 2016
Growler from the brewery: deep brown beer with slight reddish hues and a medium frothy chocolate milk head. Nose of brown sugar, candied nuts, and roasted grain. Flavor is rich with toasted brown bread, scorched nuts, and bitter cocoa followed by a milk chocolate sweetness that finishes mildly bitter. Good beer with a lot of flavor.
