On tap. A good saison. Much of the peppercorn is not coming through. Good though

Tap at Fools Gold, NY. As "Peppercon". Hazy orange color, small steady head. Overriped fruits, peppery spiceyness in the nose. Medium-bodied. Riped fruityness, mango, a bit wheaty. Light spiceyness in the finish. Ok, but lacks something.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazed gold with a medium sized white head. Gently floral with faint peppercorn. Medium bodied, light spice, dries out into peppercorn heat, but so subtle that I wouldnt know if I wasnt expecting it. Light musk on the finish.

Possibly my first saison from a can, although Ive had this beer in the corked format. Lots of aromas from the peppercorns, plenty of heat from the spicing, and other, lesser spices. Hops contribute some citrus: lemon, orange. Light palate and a good weight for a saison, mildly earthy malts and a dry finish.

Aroma: fruity with a little dank-ness; Appearance: hazy, dark golden pour with white head that dissipates slowly; Taste: light and pleasant with typical sweetness and yeastiness of a saison without the sourness; kind of like a Belgian ale; Palate: great finish that lingers; Overall: very solid, non-crazy saison; would be good for introducing someone to the style.

Meh. An ok saison with peppercorn prominent. I like that, but pretty standard and a little gassy otherwise. Plus, it was a 750. Prefer the tallboy cans.
