Type: 16-oz. can Glass: Lagunitas mason jar From: Bine & Vine Bottle Shop Price: $7.99 for a 4-pack Purchased: Nov. 4, 2016 Consumed: Nov. 4, 2016 Reviewed as: American Double / Imperial IPA Misc.: No canned on date or anything on the package Had never heard of this beer, but saw it on sale for $7.99 for a 4-pack of 16-oz. cans on a recent trip to Bine & Vine. Bought it on a whim without even looking for a Canned on Date or a rating on Untappd or Beer Advocate. Lets go with it. Poured a straw-gold yellow hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Lots of bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Outstanding foamy spiderweb lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.25) Smelled spoiled melon, mango, peach and nectarine, floral hops, Cascade, Citra, hints of orange marmalade and caramel candy. Different. (Smell - 3.75) Taste followed the nose. Kind of digging it. More juicy than bitter. Getting Centennial, Citra, melon, peach, nectarine, mango, caramel candy (those sticky candy squares), floral, hints of Southern Hemisphere trashy hops, orange marmalade, toffee and even some hints of woody Nugget. (Taste - 4.00) Medium body. Creamy texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Longer finish. (Feel - 3.75) Had no idea what to expect, but this was pretty good. More malty than bitter, but that isnt always a bad thing. (Overall - 3.75) 3.88 87 B+

1 pint can. Check your dome: 06/28/16. My can says 8.9% ABV. A hazy pale amber pour with a thick and creamy antique white head. Zesty citrus rinds, wet cardboard, light caramel, and a touch of spice in the aroma. Goes down medium-bodied. Slightly grainy upfront in the taste with a little caramel and spice. Some citrus rinds and grapefruits at the tail-end provide a lingering bitterness. Resiny. Piney. Just a touch of warming alcohol throughout. Above average.

16 oz can poured into a tulip. 8.9% ABV batch. No canning date but probably canned 3-4 weeks ago. Hazy orange with two fingers of off-white head. Tiny bits of sediment floaters. Nice lacing. Aromas of citrus fruit and peel, tropical fruit, floral, malt, a little alcohol. Tastes of tropical fruit, citrus, some alcohol, floral notes, a little pine. Medium body with a semi-dry finish. Pretty good but unfortunately it gets outshined by DC Braus Wings.

Quite sweet. Caramel and honey. Hops are resin, pine, floral, and enjoyable. Comes across as a fairly big beer, but sweet like a barleywine.

09-MAY-2014, draft @Pizzeria Paradiso, Georgetown. Very hazy with lasting off-white head. Aroma is wonderfully sweet malty and hoppy.Taste is very malty, very fresh hops, flowery, , citric with grape fruit, and tangerine. Not bitter - well of course it is bitter - but nothing like an IIPA. Very creamy with soft carbonation. A different IIPA but as long as it is as fresh as this one, it works.

Draught from the brewery. Pours with a big rocky head and lots of lace, hazy gold. Aroma is very light for such a big IPA but is caramel, hop acids, ripe tropical fruit. The flavor is very sweet, vegetal hops, acids, and bracing bitter end. Feel is very thick and alive for an DIPA. This is a strange DIPA.
