Strong, spiced, top-fermented ale, bottle conditioned.
white, compact, fine and persistent head; pale straw yellow colour; fine perlage.
hints of citrus fruit, warm yellow flowers (dandelion, camomile), almond and peach in syrup.
an astringent citrussy sensation attacks the tip of the tongue, while any bitter sensation is released on the mid palate. Highly quaffable, typical Belgian watery ale.
Excellent with:
rich food but without greasy sauces, smoked or savoury dishes since the ale has little hoppiness.
Serving temperature: 10-12 °C

Bottle at Erzbierschof Monday Club. Pours hazy pale yellow. Aroma of vomit and a mishmash of food leftovers. Body is light and acidic. Meh.

lebermilz (306) - GERMANY - AUG 28, 2016
Hazy yellow, white head. Citrus, metallic, spicy Belgian yeast. Nearly no bitterness, medium sweet, slightly weak carbonation. Somehow not very interesting.

Bottle @ Basilico Bianco, Gallarate. giallo dorato, velata, schiuma bianca, fine non molto persistente. Aroma floreale, camomilla, frutta secca (pasta di mandorle) lievemente fruttata di agrumi. Non molto in stile. Gusto dolce abboccato quasi amabile, poco amara, lievissima acidità, citrica. Pochissimo corpo, non molto carbonata, rotonda, piena, calda senza eccessi. Equilibrata ma non del tutto armonica

75 cl bottle. Hazy yellow color, short but sustained white head, fizzy. Aroma is flowery, citrus/curação, "wild" belgian yeast,champenoise/ white wine, malts are really under cover. Almond on the finish. Light body would not expect this to be 8.4%, surprise, quite quaffable indeed. Medium bitterness, light to medium body. Finish is sharp, astringent, lemony, fairly dry and definitely raw, with a medium extension. Liked several features, but sounds "homemade", maybe a fermentation/oxidation issue, at first it was a bit "meh" but then it warmed up nicely.

750ml crown-capped bottle with plastic-cork come with a free screwed pin bought at CitySuper in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui.

Looks: Translucent light golden honey colour with a ring of dirt-like yeastsediments; Two finger head and soapy fluffy white foam which lasts for 1 minute; Excellent sticky lacing with very fizzy carbonation.

Aroma: Very fragrant and sweet malt, with strong floral, orange peels, strong almonds, marmalades, light pineapples, canned fruits, soda, sugar, Bel yeast, light lemon and light grass.

Taste: Mid to light sweet full Pils malt, with strong orange peels, bitter oranges, floral, strong molasses, syrup, strong spices, bread, strong Bel yeast, strong lemon, strong bitter hops and strong grass.

Body: Medium body. Thick and creamy palate.

Mouth Feel: Wholesome Pilsener malt, creamy and bready in a thickish background. Strong elements of bitter oranges and citrus peels all the way, followed by strong floral and non-cloying sweetness. Booze is very well-hidden, yeasty and very with spicy nice strong lemon to round. Interesting and nice!

Hoppiness: Strong floral, almonds, marmalades, light pineapples and canned fruits in nose. Floral, oranges, strong lemon and strong grass in taste; Bitterness is strong for a lasting, high astringent sweet malty finish.

After Taste: Fairly dry. Creamy and very sweet-bitter to mouth.

Comments: This is an interesting fusion BSA, with strong influence of orange peels (reminds me of Hoegaarden Grand Cru) and strong hops give it a very juicy, fruity and flowery dimensions to compliments the good Pils maltyness and sweetness. An really enjoyable strong Belgian indeed!

labeerinthum (1148) - Milano, ITALY - NOV 28, 2015
On tap @ Golosaria 2015, Milano.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2015 The combination of salty caramelised bitterness, makes you forget it offers above 8% in alcohol.
