COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blended blonde ale and porter.

Mild roasted chocolate notes unite with the bready toastiness and crisp finish of a blonde ale in this medium bodied blend. The blonde cuts the typical bitterness of a porter up front, and the crisp, sweet finish of the blonde unites with the smooth, chocolate finish of the porter. Big flavor meets drinkability

Dark brown with a hint of umber when held to the light. Fluffy tan head. Aromas begin with grains, then lead to lightly roasted malt, cocoa and toffee. Roasted malt flavors with a hint of toasted sweetness. Ashy, black malt finish and linger. As this warms I catch what appears to be some oxidation. Best of the 4, but not sure what that says. 2/14

Bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a lingering ring of tan foam. Aromas of coffee, burnt malt, toffee and a hint of earthiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of roasted malt, caramel and light earthiness with a smooth dry lingering roasty finish.

Not a particularly good brew. Light brown appearance, mildly sweet with some strange off flavors. Tried courtesy of Brandon in 2014.

Bottled. Poured medium-dark brown with a creamy khaki head. The aroma picked up cocoa and oatmeal notes with light herbal accents.. not a whole lot going on, but it was aiight. The flavor found more the blonde ale that the label mentioned.. toasted grains and light bready notes joined sweeter chocolates and vanilla on the middle.. sharp, tangy notes and carbonation over a bit of toasted cocoa on the finish.. it only worked OK. Sharper than I hoped for on the palate, with high-ish carbonation.. became a bit hard to drink.
