3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at Kasey’s Tavern. Almost black pour with a creamy mocha head. Aroma of roasted peanuts. Flavors of peanut butter, vanilla, chocolate, dark roasted malt, a bit salty on the finish. A touch more body would help to carry the sweetness but it’s not at all cloying. Sweet, creamy, lactose finish. Very nice if not a bit gimmicky.
UPDATED: JAN 28, 2018 Update: +1 appearance. Served in a pint glass, more head on this presentation. Chalkiness noted.
From draft appearing dark brown with next to nil head in a small snifter glass. Notes of roasted malt and peanut are laden over a thick body. It's pretty good, no real complaints, just missing a certain oomph considering the heft. jsquire (4718) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - OCT 17, 2017
Dark beer with some mahogany highlights at the edge. Short lived beige head. Nice roasted peanut nose. Lactose sweetness, milk chocolate, peanut, molasses, and brown sugar. Nice flavored milk stout. dlovell2 (2398) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - APR 11, 2017
Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is peanut butter and chocolate. Flavor is roasted malt with some peanut butter and dark chocolate. Roasty finish. andrewje41 (4644) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - FEB 19, 2017
750 mL bottle poured. A monstrous thanks to Greg for sending me this bottle. A top want, even though I might not have ever mentioned it. This is what a peanut butter beer is supposed to be. Jet black pour. Tan fizz head and constant lacing. Aroma is full of milk chocolate, and peanuts. Flavor is both bold and sweet. Dessert peanut butter chocolate flavor. So delicious. Slight toast. A model beer for the style. Amazing. p0rkch0p (138) - Missouri, USA - FEB 18, 2017
UPDATED: FEB 18, 2017 Dark deep brown with thin head. Mild sweet cocoa taste and yes peanut butter. Pretty nice for a post meal. Rating would be higher but knowing better i paired it with street tacos but with a clean palate its pretty nice

Pours black with a long lasting, full tan head. The aroma is a heavy peanut butter that is complimented with chocolate, roasted malts, and coffee. The taste is sweet and bitter. It is nearly identical to the nose, being a potent peanut butter with chocolate and coffee. I do find some additional notes of bread and toffee. Peanut butter dominates a long and heavy aftertaste. This one is medium in body, with a thin texture, and lots of carbonation for a beer of this style. This is an impressive imitation of peanut butter. I’d be hard pressed to drink this all night as its so different than your standard beer. arminjewell (9744) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JAN 9, 2017
Pour out of 22 oz bottle, thanks gregwilsonstl! Dark brownish black pour with off white head, aroma brought cocoa, roast, coffee into some dehydrated peanut, some slight cocoa powder notes as well. Taste was a mix of dark cocoa, milk chocolate, into some dark coffee, peanut comes through but isn’t overpowering, slight roasted malt, finishing sweet. Pretty good, agree with the others this needs more body. Thechasm442 (1006) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 30, 2016
Bomber. Black with a thick khaki head that leaves great lacing. Aroma is full on peanut butter and chocolate. Like a Reese’s. Vanilla creeps in too. Taste is cocoa, chocolate, peanut butter, and dark roasted malts. A little thin with a lingering peanut finish. BiiruBierBeer (1059) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - DEC 16, 2016
Super nice peanut butter smell with a hint of chocolate. Taste is standard stout with roast, a bit of mineral, and light to moderate peanut butter. Light to medium body, medium carbonation, and some foam. douglas88 (9828) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 15, 2016
Bottle. Pours a clear mahogany color with a medium brown head. A big sweet sticky peanut and chocolate nose. The flavor is dominant peanuts, toffee, chocolate, very sweet. Vanilla. Interesting. Very decadent.
