Draft at Churchkey. Opaque maroon brown color, fluffy beige head. Wow, huge Hershey chocolate milk aroma. Taste has cocoa powder and coffee grounds, light body. Tasty and easy to drink. Leighton (22304) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 25, 2016
Bottle at home in NH. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose holds moderate roast, cocoa, earth. Light to medium sweet flavour with ashy roast, bitter dark chocolate, dry tobacco, leather. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with nicely rounded, hard-edged cocoa character, woody dryness, more ash and tobacco. Good stuff overall.

Black color. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, burnt bread, coffee candies. Quite dry mouthfeel; roasted malt with a milk and lactose presence; it tastes too much like cheap chocolate bar; balanced, mellow finish.
Nice, but not too much.
22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out loads of cocoa nibs, lactose, and dark chocolate. Flavour is similar, bringing out many layers of chocolate, especially dark chocolate and cocoa nibs, with a touch of lactose, but this is mostly dark chocolate. Smooth and fairly light for a stout. Highly drinkable. Great stuff. jtclockwork (17264) - , New Jersey, USA - APR 6, 2014
