This one actually smells like milk chocolate, with lactose sweetness and malt. Pours dark brown with a giant tan head that leaves lacing and recedes to huge bubbles. Taste is pretty weak at first, with a surge of chocolate and malt, then giving way to a watery finish. Think yoo-hoo. Palate is virtually non-existent. I was disappointed with this one. I really wanted to like it because I’m from STL and always trying to support our microbreweries.

Thanks altonbrownd for the bottle! Poured into a snifter showing a very light translucent coffee brown with half a finger of quickly dissipating latte colored foam. The nose shows a lot of milk chocolate notes. The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Hints of very dry milk chocolate mostly found in the background but the hops tend to take a more forward role here. Resurgence of milk chocolate on the finish. Could actually use a bit more chocolate but captures the mouthfeel of a milk stout style.

At warehouse on Fullerton w/Fredric. Good at first then it is like that death by chocolate brownie that gets too rich by the end. Serving: Tap

Bottle. Pours black with a nice 2 finger tan head. Huge chocolate aroma with coffee and a touch of vanilla. Flavor of milk chocolate, roasted malts, cocoa nibs and faint vanilla.

Dark brown to black, tan head, head is a bit thin for a stout. Aroma is chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate, no noticeable hop aroma. Slightly thin palate for a stout. Taste is predominantly chocolate with hints of vanilla, caramel and cream on the finish. Bittering hops noticeable but balanced, flavor is reminiscent of good dark chocolate in a liquid form.

6-5-16, In draft at Pi pizzeria in DC. Excellent milk stout (although for the abv and mouthfeel is more like a porter to me). Pure milk chocolate on the nose and taste. Mouthfeel is thin-medium with a clean finish. Perfect lighter desert beer to end the evening with. Lower abv but still brings the flavor. Nice job 4 hands. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz can from Greg, cheers mate. Poured into a large Leffe chalice on 10th May 2016. Looks good, deep, dark brown with a tan coloured head. Intense chocolate aroma and taste, went fantastic with a few Snappers Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Pretzels.
