UPDATED: NOV 18, 2017 Update: 12floz can, BBD: 03.09.2018, $1.75 unit cost, pint glass. Rating the same, additional notes: chalky and creamy, not oily, and I may be getting more of a coffee presence during this experience, somewhat cloying finish. 12floz can, BBD: 01.18.2017, bought as part of a mix-six for $10 (I've had prior from bottle and draft), pint glass. Appears opaque, near black in color with a one finger head that settles to thin layer. Cocoa aroma segues to semi-sweet chocolate and coffee palate that treads the line between oily and creamy. A quality medium-bodied chocolate stout fitting for dessert or otherwise.

Can shared at Craft Beer Cellar Clayton. Pours a deep brown to black with a small finger of beige foam that dissipates quickly. Big milk forward nose with cacao and Hershey's syrup. Body a touch light. More cacao and milk notes in the palate. Pretty solid, but leaves me wanting a bit more body. Still, 4 Hands nailed the flavors and aroma.

Rating #2552 - 2016.05.05 - Bottle at Bainbridge in Philly. Beautiful dark brown pour with a fairly weak tan head with mild lacing. Aroma is chocolate, cocoa powder. Palate is sweet cocoa, rich dark chocolate bitterness. Yoohoo.

Solid milk stout! Pours black w/ a thin tan head & little lacing. The aroma is a delightful mix of chocolate w/ a hint of roasted notes. The taste is a decent balance between sweetness & roastineas. Not quite as sweet as most milks but easily drinkable tho a touch thin. Chocolate w/ a kick! Lovely.

12oz Can. Aroma is very sweet of chocolate and roasted malts. Taste is very creamy and sweet with lots of milk chocolate and nuts. Similar to chocolate milk. Overall very tasty, the sweetness is not overwhelming.

appearance: very dark brown, caramel-colored edging, a creamy light tan head. aroma: chocolate of course, but also some toasted nuts and vanilla; smells like a candy bar. taste: milk chocolate, some bittersweet dark chocolate too (bonus!), light caramel, almond skin, lactic sweetness. finish: lingering sweet chocolate and lacto twang, hint of roast. notes: Juuuuust fine. Would drink again. Can from Quench in Silver Spring, Maryland.
