Tap @ 4 Hands Anniversary Party. Pours a cloudy, dark reddish orange appearance with a cream colored .head. I got some veggie like notes in the aroma and flavor that I didn’t like, so I wnnder if there was a bit of DMS present. Also some caramel and chewy herbal hops in the nose and a caramel, toasty malty, a touch fruity flavor. I really couldn’t get past what I think was DMS. alexsdad06 (10640) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - DEC 1, 2013
22 oz. bottle shared by phaleslu. Ppurs a clear deep amber color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have caramel, grass, some dark fruit, earthy, herbal notes, seems a bit disconnected. I was happy to try everything at the tasting and this could have suffered because of all the other big beers. phaleslu (10553) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 4, 2013
22 oz. bottle via local STL trade. Pours a clear amber with virtually no head. Notes of caramel and amber malts, grass, straw, cereal, brown sugar, and a bit of fruit- maybe apple? Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, malty mouthfeel. I’m not sure an imperial red ale is ever going to be my thing, but this one isn’t bad. Bottle, shared by phaleslu. Clear dark red color. Good thin khaki head. Good lace. Tropical fruity hop flavor, light spicy hop. Sweeter taste, light bitter, light bit of alcohol. Bigger body. Lighter carbonation. Lightly dry texture. Respectable double red ale.

Tap at 4 Hands duringan esbls tasting. This is very dark red brown with a small beige head that leaves sticky lacing. An astringent nose that is rich and malty. This is full of rich malts with a nice load of hops that are spicy and have a bit of a bite. RobertDale (6755) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - MAY 8, 2013
Bomber. Pours reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, fruit, and pine. Taste is caramel malt, fruit, spice, pine, and a bit of alcohol. Nice. vyvvy (6639) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 29, 2013
Pours reddish brown with a dense tan head. The aroma has dark roasted malt, cream, dark toffee, warming alcohol, berries, apple sweetness and syrup. Medium body with a bit of crispness and sharp micro carbonation. The flavor starts with berry sweetness, caramel malt, sweet toastiness and somehow there is a char-like character even though it doesn’t taste roasty. The finish is very sweet and malty.l Decent for the style. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - MAR 8, 2013
Bomber generously shared by PaulUnwin. Pours a hazy amber-red with a white head. Nose is sweet malt, toffee, and some light fruit with some piney hops. Flavor follows with lots of sweet malt followed by light fruit, and piney hops. Medium in body and not bad overall. jandd1983 (4544) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - APR 20, 2013
It poured a hazy dark orange color with a small white head. The aroma was light fruity and malty. The taste was solid caramel malt flavor with a hoppy bitterness and downplayed fruity notes. It ended dry and yet somewhat with a malty finish. Very good.
