4 oz. draft at EBF Boston, MA. 3 February, 2018. Pours a mostly opaque black brown colour with a thin tan head. Nose is a massive vanilla and hints of bourbon. Flavor is a mix of vanilla, bourbon, and a warming boozy finish. Vanilla lingers well after the sip leaving an oily texture over the tongue. balloonbuffoon (807) - - FEB 5, 2018
Caution; contains lactose sugar!
Draft served in a pint glass, and appearing a very dark brown with very little head. The vanilla bean is evident in the aroma and flavor. Texture is silky and thick. A sweet, but not too sweet double stout. VastActiv (8088) - Oulu/Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 3, 2018
Tap at EBF, Boston. Color is dark brown with small brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Dark chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Vanilla and some bourbon elements. bytemesis (9631) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 8, 2018
Bottle. Pours opaque black, medium creamy tan head, dissipates slowly, good lacing. Strong vanilla aroma, notes of bourbon, cocoa, molasses as well. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, loads of vanilla, light chocolate, bourbon and wood. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Pretty overtly vanilla, but lacking the pastry stout sweetness that would seem appropriate. Good beer for sure, but not upper echelon.

Thanks Jay for sharing the bottle! Poured into a snifter showing coffee brown rims with a dark center and latte foam coloured lacing.
The nose shows moderately intense notes of molasses, vanilla, and bourbon.
The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated with a light alcoholic spiciness. Lightly sweet with a light alcoholic spiciness, equally vanilla and bourbon forward.

Bottle @ tasting shared by Joes. Opaque black color, average sized brown colored head that lasts for a short while. Aroma is malts, heavy vanilla and milk chocolate. Taste malts, bourbon, milk chocolate, vanilla, soft underlying roast, sweetish and bitter simultaneously. Quite awesome! tmoreau (4818) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JUN 9, 2017
Shared bomber poured to a fest sampler showing a black/brown hue, with some brownish tan froth, and foamy dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was roasted, woody, light smoke, a bit of freezer burn, cocoa, and expressive vanilla. Full bodied, with low carbonation, the taste was similar, with a syrupy texture, bourbon & warmth, and modest roasted & earthy bitterness. Robust, and sips well. Sampler at the bridge tap house. Pours black with no head. Doesn’t leave much lacing on the glass. Big vanilla and bourbon on the nose. There’s some lactose on tongue which plays well with the vanilla. Hides it’s booze well. Finished clean. koleminer20 (4261) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - MAR 5, 2017
From notes. Enjoyed at a tasting at Abu’s house on February 22. 22 oz bottle. The pour is a medium to light black with a thinner light tan head that fades to a thin ring with no lace. The aroma is really good. There is a strong vanilla sweetness up front that slowly moves toward more of a vanilla bean bitterness on the back end. There is a light oak, some light roasted malts and a hint of cocoa. It’s really well balanced, and I like the differentiation between sweet extract and bitter bean. The flavor is definitely more on the bitter side, but everything is just light. There isn’t a strong barrel, vanilla sway, roasted malt, or chocolate like you would expect. The mouth feel is lighter and a little under carbonated. There is a lack of strong flavors, but the bitter bean definitely pops up again. This is a good beer, but the potential is there for this one to be fantastic! DSG (15519) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - FEB 22, 2017
