Bottle shared by phaleslu. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Complex wood, coffee, earthy bourbon aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium complex sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This is a better complex beer.

22 oz. bottle via in-person STL trade. Pours a semi-cloudy gold color with a white head that laces the glass. Notes of vanilla, dried apricots, sweet doughy malts, peach candy, oak, bourbon, and tropical fruits. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, malty mouthfeel. Really nice barrel-aged treatment on this tripel.

22 oz bottle shared by phaleslu. Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have Belgian yeast, ample fruity character, honey, vanilla, oak, bourbon, mild spices, smooth, thus is a solid ba tripel.

Bomber to snifter (shared by phaleslu). Looks good; a mildly hazy honey orange with white head that dissipates into lacing. Smells mildly sweet and yeasty with balanced notes of oak, vanilla, and bourbon. Tastes like it smells, but better, with loads of tropical fruit. Pineapple and guava. Pleasant on the palate. A great example of the style!

Pours golden orange with an off-white head. The aroma has caramel, toffee, cotton candy, barrel notes and syrup. It has a medium / full rich body that is smooth and has soft carbonation. The flavor is quite sweet with lots of caramel, vanilla, mild oak and alcohol slowing through - there is a mushiness to the flavors. The finish has lots of creamy vanilla and sweetness. Solid tripel, but I like the three kings version better.
