Has a peppered citrus aroma and a malty citrus flavor with a slight sweet finish. Unusual with a very complex combination of Finish’s. AirForceHops (7806) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - DEC 3, 2014
22 oz. bottle purchased at Binny’s South Loop. Mostly hazy color gold thin retention in a snifter. Aroma is zesty spice / yeast with a light fruit note that doesn’t scream out pear but… yep, ok. More apple to me. Martinus (4701) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - OCT 12, 2014
The flavor is herbal and zesty with the Belgian yeast notable but not overpowering by any sense. The fruit is like a pear apple hybrid that is grainy and juicy at the same time. Also, pretty sweet taste, baked bread and sugars. Its feels like it is a little forced as far as composition. A decent American version of the style but I would rather just reach for a true Belgian, that is of course if I could get more fresh ones here in the U.S. Overall still pretty well made.
Clear golden colour, white head. Malty aroma, pepper, white pepper, pear. Sweet malty flavour, pear. Finish pear, light pepper, light malts. Lots of pear. Not quite a saison in my book.

Clear orange to blond beer, big aery off-white head, little stable, non adhesive, falls down quickly. Aroma: yuck, way too spicy, anise, pears?? Dafuq is this stuff? MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: spicy, little sourish, bit lemony, lots of aniseed, very spicy, weird bitterness. Aftertaste: bit sourish, lots of orange peel, weird spicy touch, sugary, funky, meh.
Cloudy pour, white head. Lemon zest and peppercorn nose. Spicy flavor. Super "meh". I just didn’t care for this. On tap.

On tap at iL Lazzarone's. Aroma is orange peel, lemon, straw, bread and pepper. Taste is same as aroma with the addition of some earthiness and some mango-like fruitiness. Medium, dry mouthfeel with lots of carbonation and carbonation sting.

On draft. A medium clear golden color with minimal head. Smells of pear are prominent, with the usual spicy scents of a saison, coriander, barnyard, wheat. Taste is sweet fruit with pear, honey, mixed with the spiciness of some coriander, pepper, wheat and malt like tones. Thin mouth, crisp and easy to drink.

Bottle... Pours hazy and yellow with a mid-sized, wispy, white head. Great retention. I can really smell the pears and spicy peppercorns in here. Also, I’m picking up some lightly floral and fruity hops complimented by a hint of vanilla. Full-bodied with busy carbonation. The flavor is fruity, juicy and a touch too sweet. Finishes crisp with lingering sweetness. Including pears as an ingredient was probably a bad idea… simply because I don’t like pears. Also, too much residual sugar for my taste; otherwise, this beer is solid. Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler! Damico (3150) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 24, 2014
Pours golden quite hazy with an orange hue and white grayish head. Aroma is really nice bringing French saison yeast and the orange zest, with undertones of the fruity pear. The fruitiness of the yeast and the pears and the oranges blend well with the oranges being brought forward. The zest ends the body quite dry.
