Aroma: This one has a pear and citrus fruity aroma, pepper is more subtle, Belgian yeast
Appearance: Has a clear gold-orange pour, a small head and fairly minimal lace
Flavor: The flavor is more pepper/spice than the aroma, the fruit definitely plays second fiddle
Palate: It is light and easy drinking, tingly/spicy feel, lively carbonation, long finish
I remember sampling this at Where the Wild Beers Are, and low-and-behold, my notes line-up with this rating. I guess this is still how I feel about the beer a month later.
Pale golden with virtually no head. Aroma is pear, citrus zest, flowers, spice. Light bodied, slightly sticky mouthfeel, slightly spicy on the palate with some nice fruit character and a lightly bitter finish. Flavours are pear, apricot, tart peach. On tap @ 4 Hands. Pours a bright golden color with a white head. Starts off with kind of a weird ketchup aroma. Really sweet pear, hints of acidic apple, sweet sugar, and some bread. Subtle spice and yeast as well. Flavor is heavy on the sugar and sweetness. Lots of pear and baked apple. Light yeast, spice, and grassy hops. Some orange and lemon peel, too.

Bottle shared around a campfire in the Root Glen - Hamilton College, Clinton, NY. Thanks to the Duke for this one. Solid beer. Moderately sweet with some herbal qualities, sugary pale and doughy bread. Modest Belgian yeast expression. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Draft on tap at the brewery (St. Louis, MO). RBSG 2014 Friday Bus Tour. Pours a pale straw yellow hue, touches of lemon, frothy whitish ring laces ok. Dies down, mellow ring. Aromas are a touch fruity, gentle pear and spuce. Touches of straw, mellow pepper and spicy yeast. Initial is a bit dry and spicy, mellow fruity ester, straw and pear. Touchges of bread, mellow citrus and earth. Middle shows a bit more pear quickly leading into grainy malts, bread dough, touches of straw and Siason yeast spice. Mellow tart pear, faint white grape. Backend is dry, a bit yeasty and spicy. Some earthiness, spice and mellow estery trails. Solid, interesting, not sweet but well integrated. Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has some earthy and flora yeast with a bit of pear underlying. Flavor has a light sweet grain with some pear and flora underlying.
