Draft at the Bridge Tap House in STL. Pours a light golden, slightly hazy. Crisp floral, grassy hops. A dry golden saison, for sure. Some white pepper. Not the expected yeast profile. Solid, but unassuming. EtTuCthulhu (1391) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - JUN 19, 2013
The appearance is a pure hazy yellow color with a medium white head that fades to a thin layer on top of the liquid. The aroma of this beer hits you strongly in the nose, but it is a pleasant whiff of sour fruit (specifically pear), and the taste is mildly sour and slightly sweet, which grows on your tongue, with the former (unfortunately) overpowering the latter. The palate, however, is a very pleasant combination of an average carbonation, medium body, slick texture, and a slightly sour finish. Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 beers this beer poured a hazy pale yellow color with a medium sized foamy white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was bretty, musty, orange and a bit of pepper. The flavor was brett, bread, must, honey, orange, Windex and pepper. Long finish of brett, bread, honey, orange and Windex. A touch astringent and turns a bit dry at the very end. Medium body. Nice.
