Our American blonde ale is a soft and delicate ale brewed with pilsner malt and jasmine flower. The addition of jasmine adds a floral and slightly fruity layer. Single speed pours a crisp golden hue with floral undertones. Whats your speed? Ours is a Single Speed.

Tasted on tap at the brewpub as part of a sampler flight. Ive seen this around town, and was glad to try it. I guess the high price and flowery deScription prepared me for more, but it just seemed a fairly bland golden ale. Grainy malt, grassy but somewhat harsh hops balance. Only okay.

Can in Chevy Chase, MD. Golden body with medium head. Nose is hoppy and spicy and grassy. Taste is hops and pine and honey. Quite sticky texture. Enjoyable.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2016 Thanks to iNBe. Started a little sweet but sort of balanced out later, floral, soft, fruity, great big fluffy head. Not bad. Serving: Bottle

This is a pretty decent blond but Im not sure I like the element the jasmine adds. Its your typical craft beer hazed, blond w/ a small head. Its a bit sweet but not cloying w/ and has a nice cereal sort of graininess to it. The jasmine--and I only think its the jasmine--adds a bit of a floral note (of course) but I feel like its also bringing a green vegetable taste to the table and that is not quite great. I think Id like this better w/o it but who knows for sure. Either way, I give it credit for be flavorful and drinkable which is 90% of what I want out of this style.

Pours a nice, frothy white head; very mild fruity aroma; light golden color; light sweetness, medium bitterness, light body, slightly creamy, average carbonation, smooth finish. There is nothing about this beer to get me excited, but it seems to me to be a solid blond ale.

This was a really easy to drink blond ale that was surprisingly tasty. It had a soft mouthfeel and the jasmine is noticeable. Only got one can and maybe will get a six pack.

Aroma is flowers and mild sweetness. The flavor is malts, fruit, mildly floral/citrus, a hint of spices and a mildly sweet finish.

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2015 12oz. Pilsner malt, nothing else....hmmm..Jasmise..oh, great. jasmine. Kind of a cheap tea feeling addition to a boring blonde ale. At least a straight up blonde ale would have been to a style. "My speed" is anything but this. Not impressive.

Sweet and malty, earthy. Hints of cereal and bread, then a bit of citrus. Light, but full. Meh.
