COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Columbus Tomahawk Zeus is the primary hop variety in War Hammer as well as the inspiration for the name. We use a combination of Pacific Northwest hops to create layers of pungent flavors. A generous malt bill adds biscuit and honey notes while allowing the hops to take center stage. War Hammer pours golden in color with aromas of pineapple, mango, tangerine, resin, & slight earthy notes. Drink fresh!

Pours golden with a slight head on it, smells floral in aroma and can definitely smell the hops, can’t wait to find another bottle

Had this fresh at the brewery and a bottle kept in the fridge until now about 2 months later. Still fresh and delicious. Much cleaner and lighter on the palate with a little cold conditioning age, big big sticky alpha, has that big bite with almost matching citrus, aroma is fantastic. Super drinkable, lively carb. Fantastic.

This was sent to me by Strykzone. Thanks Dave for this fantastic beer. Pours a hazy apricot color with a really big rocky head that lasted seemingly forever and left lacing rings like Elmer’s glue. Really attractive. The nose is is caramel malts, tropical fruit, and grapefruit. Medium body and a sticky resinous mouthfeel. Flavor is intense, with citrus and pine hops just bombarding the palate. Finish is long, dry and the flavors just stay with you. Alcohol well hidden. I think most people are underrating this fantastic beer maybe because they drink it too cold. This was started at 58 degrees and it got even better as it warmed a few more degrees. Superb imperial IPA. Loved this one.

Bottle shared at the 11k/7k/5k. Aroma is potent hop. Grapefruit zest, pine, and pineapple. Pours beautifully yellow and fizzy with a sticky frothy head. Taste is damn near perfect. Tangerine zest, grapefruit, pine, resin, and some lemongrass. Intense taste and a crisp mouthfeel. This was a nice surprise.

First consumed on tap at 4 Hands brewery. Bought 4 bombers of which one of these poured into a pint glass a dark golden with a off white head. Aromatic oranges in a pine forest comes to mind. Flavor is superb. Caramel sweetness with juicy citrus. Nice bitter finish. Beautiful brew to the palate. Impressive!

UPDATED: APR 1, 2015 This beer pours a brilliant amber color, and the head is medium-sized and white with the slightest tint of green to it. The aroma, although somewhat boozy, is very hop forward due to spruce, grass, resin, and citrus notes with only the lightest biscuity malt notes coming forward. The taste continues to highlight the hops; the flavor is mildly bitter and balanced well with a touch of sourness and touch of (buttery) sweetness. The bitter finish is expected, but the rest of the mouthfeel--soft carbonation, medium-thick body, and slightly sticky texture--complements the taste well.

Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Big dank pine and dirty citrus, moderate bitterness, and a long piney hoppy finish. A hop bomb for sure, but not too over-the-top. Pretty dope.

From tap at 4 Hands brewery tasting room, big lush and juicy hop characteristics, citrusy, tropical, big melon notes with nicely balancing clean yet rich sweetness on an exceptionally sillky smooth medium plus body with well controlled carbonation

Poured from the bomber, reddish dark orange with chunky white foam. Gritty, thick, sticky, tropical, strong, and dry at the end, my favorite of the 4-hands, I’ll swing the war hammer.
