On tap at 4 pines Sydney. Lite body. Banana notes. Not a bad little hefeweizen. Hop_Hedonist (598) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - DEC 28, 2016
For my uneducated palate (Hefe isn’t my preferred style), this is a great drink - its low on esters (mercifully) and highly citrus - slight sourness makes it highly drinkable and refreshing for me - leaves a very clean palate - I much prefer this to most other Hefes. sm89walt (2065) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - DEC 17, 2016
Keg. Cloudy yellow with a small and somewhat lasting white head. Banana, wheat, spice, lemon, and bubblegum aromas/flavours. Mid-weight, crisp, and clean with medium to full carbonation and a moderate length and intensity bitterness to finish. CurlyJoe (244) - AUSTRALIA - DEC 16, 2016
Cloudy light brown/yellow with moderate, thin head. Aroma is sweat and bready. Very smooth beer to drink, driven by wheat. Slight mild bitter aftertaste. Maracuja05 (1280) - Mainz, GERMANY - AUG 16, 2016
[backlog] 15-01-15 / on tap at the brewery in Manly Sydney. Decent Weizen.
I started rating my beers with Untappd and a few basic notes. Now I want to rate them on ratebeer. So my rating sometimes lack some information. Just ignore it, it is for my personal statistics. Untappd-Rating 4/5

On tap at 4 Pines, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of banana and clove in decent balance. Flavour is quite floral, with lots of clove and candied banana. Generic but decent done hef. Solid. M_Sack (721) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - FEB 12, 2016
Tap @ the brewery. Hazy golden rather than straw. Strange aroma with metallic elements. Strong banana and clove flavours with good carbonation.

Tapped out a dirty gold blonde. 3°SRM.
Mouthfeel was carbonated and sudsy. There were some nice fruity sweet flavors and predictable wheat flour, proofing dough flavors all rounded off with a slightly yeasty umami. Quite pleasant.
Nose had clean wheaty, dough-like aromas, not too strong, a little understated.
Clean wheaty finish. No hop character. ladnewton (1964) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 14, 2015
On tap at 4 Pines, Manly on 12th September 2015. Hazy gold with dying whitish foam and spot lacing. Yeasty aroma with soft citrus fruit. Tangy citrus and sweet berries in-mouth. A sweet, yeasty finish with hints of sweetcorn. Zingy mouthfeel with light to medium body. RafeAU (629) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUN 20, 2015
Pours cloudy straw with small white head. Aroma and flavour are quite lacking for the style, and the beer is a bit watery. This beer doesn’t have much of the yeast-derived flavour/aroma that is essential to a hefeweizen. Pretty poor effort from 4 pines. I suspect it’s due to using a cheaper, more convenient dry yeast rather than the far superior liquid alternatives. I hope its availability at least means it inspires more people to go try other, good hefeweizens.
