Pours a cloudy bright amber. Nose is tropical hops, lots of pineapple sweetness coming through. Mouthfeel is thick and full bodied, tastes of more tropical fruits, pineapple and grapefruit prominent. Ends with a sharp bitterness and a hit of resin. Great series, this is a massive standout beer for me. HopMagnet (18) - Katoomba, AUSTRALIA - MAR 20, 2016
500mL bottle poured into a TeKu glass. ABV: 9%. Bright orange amber with medium to light head. Aromas reveal a beautifully balanced mix of pine, citrus and banana. The richly flavoured palate seamlessly combines pineapple, stone fruits and a big hit of bitterness. Powerful, long and beautifully balanced. Great beer. Pours hazy orange with a fluffy off white head. Nose is grapefruit, lemon, candied orange. Flavor is candied orange, honey, toffee, vanilla, grapefruit. Medium bitter and slightly warning finish. Medium to heavy body, lowish creamy carbonation. Nice body on this, good sweet flavor without being cloying, with nice hop notes. Pretty good effort.

BB 05/02/2017. Filtered and clear amber with a white head settled to about 5mm. Quite malty with moderate boozy presence and tropical fruity hops in the aroma. Tangy at first then almost cloying with lots of citrus, spruce and pine that hangs around on the side of you tongue for ages, certainly grabs your attention though i think a little hard to deal with long term. From a 500ml bottle on 3/3/2016 Bottle says 9%, 84IBU). Pours a clear golden with a small to medium head. Has a nice strong aroma of tropical and stone fruit. This presents as a big beer on the first sip. Not hugely malty, it’s starts out as an intensely sweet fruit bomb, with loads of pineapple, apricot, peach and mandarin. This sweet blast is met solidly by a big, sticky, resiny, citrussy hop bitterness which coats the mouth. The palate is touch syrupy and the carbonation soft. This is a really solid DIPA, which I’d be happy to return to. DavidAust (279) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - FEB 27, 2016
500ml Bottle. Craft beer glass. Shared with friend. Ohhhh, this is a big beer. Aroma is less than expected, and I can’t get the pineapple scent as advertised, but plenty of resin and tropical fruit salad is there. But then chewy matls (first time I’ve ever described a beer as chewy) followed by a big hit of sweet-ish hops. Bitterness comes through, but not at the 90 IBU level for me - which was good. Medium length finish on the palate, which is what held it back from a five - great mouth feel. The carbonation was just right to give a meaty, fat mouthful whilst still enabling a good white and reasonable lasting head. Limited lacing, but the head did persist until the end. The more I drank the better it got too. Shame it is a limited edition otherwise I’d keep one in the fridge perpetually just to surprise a friend on how complex and big a beer can be at the same time, or for when I’m bored with the usual stuff.
This is just a FUN beer.
Nice job 4 Pines - I tip my hat to you. Marc280 (52) - - FEB 19, 2016
Clear amber colour with fluffy white head. Big pineapple and tropical aroma. There is a big whack of bitterness, but it is well balanced by a big malt backbone. Carbonation works well. Great beer and you don’t know it is a 9% beer until you’re well through it. DeliriumT (549) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - FEB 17, 2016

Pours copper with a rosy hue. Aroma of pineapple and passionfruit. Very pungent and dank. Little malt aroma to speak of. Flavour is slightly over bitter, slightly alcoholic, otherwise refreshing. Again, whilst there is clearly a considerable malt backbone to the beer, there is little discernible specialty malt flavour.
