Jado's rating

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 10/20
Jado (804) - Camp Hill, - NOV 11, 2012
Light amber-yellow body is capped with a large white head that dies down to a thin cap with lcing evident. Not much on the nose, a bit of fruit and maybe a little pepper. Taste is mainly citrus with a sweet undertone. Quite light with a short palate. While it’s not particularly interesting, it is nicely balanced and quite refreshing. Not bad, but not a real winner.

On tap. Pours a pale yellow gold with a white head. Aroma: Malt, grass, mild citrus and earthy notes. Taste: Biscuity malt, mild citrus, mild caramel malt flavours. Very basic flavour balance, even by Kolsch standards. Medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Easy to drink, but not interesting or flavoursome.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2017 500ml bottle. Pours clear straw with big frothy head. Slight malty citris aroma and flavour. Some earthy biscuity notes. Fairly subtle, clean and simple with crispness. Refreshing and pleasant.

330ml bottle from Cellarbrations, Main beach, Surfers Paradise Light golden amber color with OK head. Slight hop nose with some grainy and a touch of sulfur. Mild bitterness with slight malty palate. OK.

blackbock (135) - Shoalhaven NSW, AUSTRALIA - JAN 10, 2017
(Bottle) little aroma on opening. As I consumed direct from container no visual component able to be assessed. Some pleasant, uncommon yeast character present. Hops not discernable. Low bitterness. Reasonable quaffer, but nothing memorable.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2017 Great summer beer, refreshing clean and fruity. Lychees and some mango. Sharp aroma. Excellent example of a kolsch.

[backlog] 12-01-15 / bottle at home, Sydney. I started rating my beers with Untappd and a few basic notes. Now I want to rate them on ratebeer. So my rating sometimes lack some information. Just ignore it, it is for my personal statistics. Untappd-Rating 2.5/5

On tap at 4 Pines, pours a clear pale golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is very light, with biscuity malt. Flavour is crisp, with crackery malt upfront, followed by some cereal notes. Crisp and drinkable, but pretty boring. Meh.

JUDGE_222 (1) - Coogee, AUSTRALIA - MAR 21, 2016 does not count
This beer is a little lighter than a traditional Kolsch but it is the most exquisite beer I have ever had.
