Mild coffee, chocolate and caramel flavours. Very smooth and creamy, I like it, not too intense, not too bland, quite sessionable.

Bottle. Immaculate deep black with thick mocha head which retains well and forms good lacing. Dulled aromas of chocolate and roasted grain. Delicious chocolate, roasted malt and a touch of coffee. Well balanced with a whack of hops to make it nice and dry on the finish.

This beer has a lovely chocolatey aroma with some tobacco and ash. Theres quite a bit of hops in the taste along with the chocolate. Unfortunately the palates a little water and a bit short. Its the sniffing is where this beer excels, and slurping off that thick off-white heads pretty good too.

Chocolate and light hops for the aroma, heavy dark brown appearance with a mild creamy head. Tastes of hops upfront, but dark burnt malt on the end with a bit of chocolate and a nice dry finish. Overall a very nice drinking dry stout, nothing amazing but still great.

I tried this over a year ago, but never rated. I remember little, except that it was o ne of "the good ones", with plenty of chocolate and a dry finish...Obviously must re-rate it one day, but not this time.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with some red highlights at the edges. Thinning tan head with moderate carbonation. Aromas of coffee, aniseed and dark chocolate come through. The taste is rather lighter than the nose suggests. It shows some dark fruits at the front end before a black coffee bitterness comes through in the mid-palate. Quite light-bodied with a lingering dark chocolate aftertaste. Good.

Black colour with a crispy, dark head. Strong aroma of roasted malt and coffee with a note of hops and pine. Taste of roasted malt, dark chocolate and with a nice coffee bitterness that stays around in the aftertaste. Also a slight dry taste with hops.
