3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap and now 6.8%. Amber with a thin off white top. Scent is caramel and pine. Taste is pine pine and citrus with caramel.
On tap @ 406. Light amber with a small head. Aroma is lots of sweet caramel and sugar with some light citrus and band aid. Flavor is very sweet caramel malt with a faint hop bitterness that is buried under the sweetness. Medium body with lots of residual sugar. Not impressment’ed, way too sweet and slightly phenolic. Draft at the brewery. Dark bronze. The aroma is super, super biscuity. This drinks with an odd malt mustiness, withbjustvenough of a hop swirl to be called a pale ale. But nothing can rescue it from the initial impression of the first whiff. (#4648, 7/4/2012)
