Ernest (7861) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - SEP 9, 2015
Draft at Prospector’s Pizzeria. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is light amber. Aroma is lightly malty (caramel, grain), lightly hoppy (apricot). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.

Not one of this brewery’s better offerings, at least from this sample...very mild, uninteresting aroma, basically a mindless quaffer to appease people who say "I like red ales".

on tap @ Prospector’s / Denali Nat’l Park AK --- Clear medium amber, beige head cover, bands of lace. Nice looking. Taste is malt with good body that becomes sweeter on the swallow, adding fizz and hops in a medium finish. A routine, but solid, amber.

Draft @ 49th State. Clear amber with a thick off white head. Aroma of caramel, dough and toasty malt. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, fruity esters and a faint hop bitterness. Medium to light body with a slightly watery feel. Not bad but I’d seek out their other beers first.
