3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I’ve wanted to try this beer for a while and have liked some of their other varieties. The aroma is probably the toughest part to rate. It’s off a bit and doesn’t do the beer any favors. Has an almost musty, sweaty, earthy smell. Pours a nice hazy golden yellow with a moderate white head that dissipates pretty quickly and leaves just slight lacing. I appreciate what they are trying to do, but not sure they accomplished it. Has lots of citrus and spice on the tongue that finishes with some exotic flavor. Not sure if it’s passion fruit, but it’s not bad. I probably wouldn’t seek this one out, but it is a refreshing light wheat hybrid with exotic flavors that would be good over the hot summer. I give 5 Rabbit all the credit in the world for trying new things with exotic Latin flavors.
Decent. Average witbier and it’s what you would expect. I didn’t get much spice. ads135 (4607) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - APR 15, 2017
A very solid wit bier. Like a beligan wit, but the yeastyness is understated and a splash of fruit tops it off. Tried at Bad Apple in Chicago in 2017 with Josh, Brandon and Dave. JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - DEC 31, 2016
Cloudy straw color with a modest off white head and loads of chunks in the last few ounces of the pour. Tropical fruit and sweet sour (rhubarb) scents. Light sweet start that is quickly washed away by a citric/sour punch. Hints of spice and lime. I really didn’t think I would like this one, but it is a quenching summer fruit brew that I’m actually going to finish. 1/14

Hazy golden with a large white foamy cap. Big spicy citrusy nose that’s earthy and herbal but also has a lot of semisweet orange peel bitterness and coriander and black pepper. Crisp and gently tart flavor that’s orange citrusy, peppery, wheaty, passion fruity and crisp. Really kinda neat and fruity and gently tart.

Bottle - small foamy head, hazy medium straw color, good size fruity (passion fruit apparently) aroma and flavor, medium wheat backbone, mild yeasty spice in the finish, very refreshing and pretty good overall

Draft. Pours cloudy orange. Smells lemonade. The palate is light and crips. The taste is lemon. And a little fruity. Malty sweet finish with a little tartness. ChadPolenz (1815) - Lakeland, Florida, USA - JUL 12, 2016

AROMA: Lime peel and some passionfruit. Sweet floral notes. Slightly tartness. 9/12
APPEARANCE: Pale banana yellow; extremely hazy. No visible sediment (or CO2). Small white foam almost completely dissipates. 1/3
FLAVOR: Mild tartness (akin to lemonade) up front which grows stronger throughout the swig. Passion fruit and lime are prominent; some coriander spice in the background (this could be considered a fruit or SHV brew). Solid wheat base and pale malt backbone. Innovative for the style. 17/20
MOUTHFEEL: Light body; smooth texture. Crisp, but not spastic. Refreshing with a mild fruity aftertaste. Lot of flavor for only 4.3%. 5/5
OVERALL IMPRESSION: Tasty, refreshing and sessionable. Controversial for the style. This would be great in cans. 8/10
TOTAL SCORE: 40/50

12 oz bottle. Pour is very hazy lemon-flesh yellow with a small white head. Aroma is sweet rock candy-malt, faint lemon notes, and light floral notes. Flavor is faintly tart with hints of lemon, light topical fruit notes, faint floral hops, and a slightly salty finish. drpimento (3627) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 22, 2016
Passion fruit gives this beer an exquisite aroma, which sadly doesn’t carry over so well to its flavor. Flavor is a little sweet tart. Body’s a touch thin; Overall not too bad. Been waiting a long time for someone to use passion fruit in beer. alexsdad06 (10376) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 21, 2016
Draft sample from notes. Pours a hazy yellow golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale wheat malts, orange and lemon citrus, light spices, hints of tropical fruit, thin watery, just a one time thing for me.
