Draft at the brewery. Black with a thin beige head that quickly recedes. Taste is berries, unsweetened chocolate, some roast. Taste is raspberry forward with slight chocolate. Fruit treatment reminds me of bourbon county bramble or backyard, just without the barrel or booze.

750ml bottle from Sonoma Cellars in Oconomowoc, shared with bananabi11. Pours almost black with a brown head. Aroma has sweet berries and caramel. Taste is of sweet berries with a solid blackberry presence, sweet malts, light lactose. Essentially big berry and sweet. Tasty but not as good as some of the other ChocoFrut brews. 13.8

Probably the least delicious of these beers, still very good, but the blackberry doesn’t come through as much as the other fruits. I’d happily try it again though.

Nice, rare to taste blackberries cutting through in beer, especially in a darker beer. Chocolate. Creamy. Sweet. Nice dessert beer.

Black pour from 22oz bottle in Dubuque. Very fruity stout. Unique but good. Berry and cocoa. Nice

750ml bottle. Opaque brown hue/low tan head. Tasted like it was going bad; went beyond stemmy to lightly sour blackberry and dry chocolate flavors.

750ml bottle. This one is dark in color. Aroma of tart blackberry and chocolate. Flavor starts very medicinal and tart with some off-flavors. As it breathes a bit it kind of tastes like a chocolate covered blackberry candy and is more palatable.

Draft. Overly sweet aroma bit deep flavors. Can taste the blackberry. Not the orange. Looks great

Very tasty beer. Has a hint of blackberries and chocolate. Dark color. Tan head fizzles to a thin layer of bubbles. Will buy again.
