COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gringolandia is an affectionate term used by many Latinos to refer to the United States. We’re using the term to paint a picture of our collective 5 Rabbit experience as a Latin-based company in the exciting melting pot that is 21st century Chicagoland, and to brew beers that reflect that experience. It’s our tribute to the American craft beer movement.

After staking out our Latin credentials with several exciting, ingredient-based beers in the “5″ series, we felt it was time to expand our range. These beers are our own interpretations of some popular craft beer styles, changed up a little to make them our own distinct beers different from anyone else’s.

Oh yes it is!Fabulosa Porter is a creamy, roasty porter with soft cocoa character. It is brewed with unmalted wheat for a smooth, milkshake texture. Chocolatey aroma, creamy cappuccino flavors, soft bittersweet finish.

Dark brown and hint of ruby when poured. Smallish, dense tan head. Sweet dark chocolate, toasted and roasted malts, bits of nuts and hint of earthy hops. Dry roasted malts and husky nuts start. Fairly light in the middle and on through the finish. Linger has just a bit of black malt. Fairly easy to drink, just a light bodied porter. 12/14

Deep dark brown coloured body with a solid light brown head, about four centimetres tall. Aroma of roasted malt, earth, caramel and a touch of coffee. Medium-bodied; Strong malts coupled with a robust coffee and chocolate flavour coupled with some sweetness and a nice earthy flavour. Aftertaste is relatively simple, but shows well with the roasted malt and toffee front and centre with a little grain and alcohol showing up too. Overall, a surprisingly nice beer, considering that I’ve had some stinkers from this brewery in the past, but this was good! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased yesterday from Whole Foods (Streeterville, E Grand Ave) in Chicago, Illinois on 13-November-2015 for US$2,49 sampled in my hotel room a couple of blocks away in Chicago, Illinois on 14-November-2015.

From a bottle it is dark, smells dark and tastes dark. A little coarse at first. Does get a little more acceptable towards the middle. Finish is simply porter that thinks its more than 6%, trying to be the little brother of impy stout. .

Fratto (2845) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JUN 27, 2015
Bottle from Ashley. Dark pour with a small off-white head. Aroma is slight spice, chocolate, and ash. Taste is more almost tamarind flavor, chocolate, and a dry finish.

12oz bottle thanks to one of the cousins from the barrio - nose is chocolate. On the sweet side of Porters with a distinct flavor I can’t identify (oyster?) that makes this one stand out. A breakfast beer.

120z bottle. Pours black with a foamy tan head. Lots of carbonation. Aroma is of cocoa, malt and grass. Smells slightly roasty. Taste is of grass, bitter chocolate, and vanilla. Has a very bitter, almost acidic finish. Lingering grassy taste. After it warms up, a weird plastic taste comes through. Mouthfeel is very light and sticky. Its not terrible, I just don’t care much for it.
