Tap. Pours black, tan creamy head. Nitro tasting. Aroma is dry. Hints of licorice flavor. Flavor is dry, toasted grain. Finishes very dry and chalky. BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - MAR 18, 2008
Tap at brewpub and served with nitro: Near black with a tan creamy nitro pour head and very good lace. The aroma is roasty and charred, chocolate, herbal and flowery hops, walnut and a hint soapy. The taste is dark malts, bittersweet with a mild hop background. Very light smoke and nutty qualities on the finish. The mouth feel is creamy but thin. A very average brewpub paint-by-numbers dry stout.
