Collaboration brew between Kevin at 5 Seasons and Spike at Terrapin. A collaboration brew with Terrapin Beer Company! The Farmhouse Ale refers to country beers brewed on self sufficient farms as matter of necessity. Le Saisonniers were seasonal workers that worked on the farms often paid with beer for their labor. It is a tribute to all community farmers and their CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture). This Saison uses local wild flower honey, producing a unique hint of sweetness. European hops, which contribute a slight spice, along with a mild tartness from a Belgian style yeast results in a refreshing, thirst quenching ale. Through their dedicated hard work, we enjoy many quality products on our tables.

This was slightly disappointing, and ever since Kevin took over the beers here really seem to have suffered, and I understand why Glenn left, but its still a shame. Light fruits on the nose, served very cold and was in kind of a hurry when this was released because I was not feeling well so I did not stick around to have another and really pick apart the nuances. Bready maltiness and slightly tart and very dry on the palate.

Pours a hazy honey golden with a thick, fluffy, off-white, fine-bubbled, persistent head. Aroma is rich and fruity, mainly orange with yeasty and malty undertones. Flavor is quite strong, yeasty, orangy and slightly bitter. Texture is edgy, tingly and fizzy and leaves quite a tinge on the tongue.
