Comes out of the tap a hazy golden honey amber with a thick, fine-bubbled off-white head. Richly hoppy aroma has hints of evergreen and grapefruit. Strong, hoppy, slightly bitter flavor has an undertone of sour citrus, mostly grapefruit but including a hint of orange. Smooth, lively, fizzy texture leaves tingly and pleasantly sour finish. Draft at 5 Seasons West. When I had this 2 days ago (08/07/2010) they were calling this beer "5 Seasons DIPA" (I hope I am rating the right brew here). Served in a Tulip. Poured a almost clear, reddish copper with a medium off-white head. Aroma: bright, fresh citrus & pine hops, sweet malts in the background - the nose is out of this world good! Taste carried the same but with a crisp bite and mild alcohol warmth in the finish. Medium mouthfeel, good depth and balance. Overall a great DIPA. craftbeerdesign (2254) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 3, 2010
This is a really nice IIPA from 5 Seasons! Arrived in a sniffer with a deep golden color and a 1 finger white head. Big citrus hop notes on the nose. Medium to thick body with light fruit notes including some orange and banana along with big hops. Pleasant bitter finish. Very enjoyable. unclemattie (4406) - Georgia, USA - SEP 26, 2010
5SN big boy.
This is the biggest, strongest, IIPA I’ve ever had.
Amber copper color. Huge hop aroma. Huge. Lots of grapefruit, spruce, and resin. Take a SIP... POW! What an explosion. Nice smooth malt, sharp pounding of hop bitterness. Lots of resin, pine, alpha hugeness and a bit of alcohol. It’s a sipper, hard to drink fast. Very strong. THIS BEER IS A BIG BOY.

Appearance: Lightly hazed, deep, dark copper body with a fine coating of near white foam.
Smell: Brightly aromatic and smelling of moist, juicy grapefruits and lemons, hand-picked flowers, and industrial grade resin, with no more than a modest maltiness underneath.
Taste: Hearty pale malts, lightly bready and with a smattering of caramel and--GAH! Then, there’s a hypersonic blast of bitterness followed by a roll call of hop flavors: sharp floral, jutting citrus, and caustic resin. Finishes dry with a long, long bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium-plus carbonation.
Drinkability: A bold, hop-packed beer that’s surely not for the feint of heart. A good option for fans of the hop.

Draft @ 5 Seasons North. Poured into a tulip a darkish orange with a small white head. Aroma was of big citrus, some pine and a little heat. Quite pleasing. Lots of big hop flavors up front with a nice malty back end to balance it out. A bit of fruity sweetness in the finish alongside a lingering bitterness. Oily mouthfeel full of sticky hops. My first from 5 Seasons, they do IPAs well. bconger (144) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - JUL 24, 2010
Draught westside. Aromas of caramel and citrus hops. Pretty bitter but well balanced with a semi sweet maltiness. The hop profile is pure and I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve just used one or two varieties - maybe centennial. jrob21 (3875) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUL 27, 2010
Draft on the Westside. This is one of the better beers I have had here. Full bodied, lots of c hop goodness just like I like them. Pour is a dull hazed orange light copper. Aroma is pine and citrus peel. Flavor is nicely sweet with some caramel malt goodness and then the subtle but oh so pleasant hop finish. Lots of citrus again and some orange fruitiness. You are left with a slight bitterness. Well balanced. Surprisingly easy to drink with a well hidden alcohol content. Big ups to our server as well for knowing and describing well the entire beer list. jhumphries69 (1034) - Tyrone, Georgia, USA - JUL 31, 2010
Pours red/copper and bright. Hoppy aroma. Bitter at first - almost astringent - but a nice sweetness and balance emerge after the palate acclimates. Dry bitter finish. Spicy hops throughout with notes of evergreen and citrus. Very nicely done double IPA. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - JUL 3, 2010
Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Big grapefruit and pine aroma and taste with a big bitter bite and a citrus finish.
