Appearance: cloudy amber, fine beige head, drippy lace
Aroma: dry smokey aroma, earthy, touch of caramel sweetness
Flavor: sweet caramel flavor, balancing earthyness, light smokeyness
Aroma: 6/10; Appearance: 7/10; Flavor: 6/10; Palate: 6/10; Overall: 13/20
Score: **+ /4
Appearance: Hazed, amber-hued body with, well, no head.
Smell: Caramelized sugars over well-toasted malts rounded with a little fruit and small sniff of booze.
Taste: Sugar encrusted toasted bread crusts with a moderate edge of caramel to it. Sufficiently sweet. Slight, fruity accents of sultanas and candied orange peel. Low herbal hop tone, though no real apparent bitterness. Is big and sweet enough to feel like a glass of sweet Southern iced tea at times. Sweet, malty, faintly fruity finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium-low carbonation.
Overall: It’s big, it’s malty, and oh-so sweet.
