Bottle shared @ 5 Seasons North. Appearance is a darker foggy brown with thinner light beige head. Sweet and light fruit nose with some clove like spice. Taste is more sweet light fruitiness of assorted berries, light smoke, coriander, light smokiness which throws off one to assume its a saison. Some yeast notes and touches of banana. Overall, not a bad saison with the flavors very wide ranging and complex. Glad i got to try. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - MAR 17, 2012

Smell: A scent of strawberries, raspberries, and even sloe berries soaking in spirits with whole cloves atop some bready malts.
Taste: Sharply sweet with an instant vibrant fruitiness of mixed berries. Some banana esters join the alcohol for a splash of 99 Bananas. Notably phenolic giving a big clove-like flavor. One thing it never seems is smoky. As you head towards the relatively crisp finish, you rebound into the fruitiness, cloves, alcohol, but, again, no real smoke character.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium-plus carbonation with a surprising amount of tingle on the tongue given the small head and sedentary appearance.
Overall: A fair saison, though, with its bold characteristics, it is, for me, a very slow sipper.
Pours dark chocolate brown. Some smoke on the palate and a little meatiness, as well as a coffee note. Light smoky flavor, really nice body & well balanced. Very sessionable.
