Dark brown with a pinkish accent. The aroma and palate are remarkably similar - raspberry and chocolate. Pretty good, given the concept. kp (10882) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - JAN 18, 2009

Appearance: opaque dark brown, fine tan head
Aroma: light chocolate aroma with a hint of raspberry
Flavor: flavor starts off with a raspberry sweetness and is quickly followed up with a dry dark bitter chocolate, just a touch of a dark caramel sweetness tries to balance the dark chocolate but is lost in the dark, nice tartness from the raspberry adds extra complexity
Overall: good, but needs an extra sweet element like vanilla to bring out the chocolate, would age nicely in a bourbon barrel
Aroma: 5/10; Appearance: 7/10; Flavor: 6/10; Palate: 6/10; Overall: 12/20
Tart raspberry and chocolate on the nose. Deep mahogany with a creamy tan head and lace. Sweet malt chocolate and light raspberry. A bit aggressive carbonation on a medium bodied beer. Very nice clinging even bitter. Cybercat (5841) - Georgia, USA - JAN 25, 2009
Pours a deep opaque chocolaty brown with a fairly thick tan head. Tempting aroma is strongly of chocolate, with hints of raspberries, roast coffee and sweetness. Flavor is chocolaty and malty with a hint of raspberry and hops, and a sweet touch. Texture is smooth, edgy, and just a little thin. Dark raspberry juice burgundy color. Small head in the sample glass. Lots of fruit balanced by a mild malty backbone. Is juicy, fruity, and sweet.

Appearance: Deep, dark brown body with some ruby-hued tones and a thin, off-white head.
Smell: Sharply tart scent of raspberries overlaying a subdued dark maltiness. The chocolate component, even upon warming, doesn’t develop beyond a mild note of chocolate powder.
Taste: Lightly sweet dark malts with a touch of roasted grains. Tart raspberry juice. Mild chocolate taste that arises somewhat upon warming. Very mild bitterness. Very minute tastes of roast and fruit on the dry, relatively clean finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: A decent fruit beer, but it does leave you wanting for more raspberries and more chocolate. aracauna (3609) - Georgia, USA - DEC 24, 2008
This was a bit of a disappointment. The color was rich and dark and the aroma was fresh raspberries. The flavor was unfortunately thinner than expected. Not a bad beer, just not the one I expected from the description. shp555 (2024) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - AUG 8, 2009
Pours a deep ruby brown color with a light brown head. Aroma is caramel, roast, some crystal malt, dark chocolate, and sweet raspberries. Flavor is caramel, raspberries, roast, chocolate, and a bitter grassy finish.

Poured a nut brown with a foamy head. Big aroma of raspberry. Musty flavor with bitter chocolate and indeterminate fruit. Slightly weird salty finish. BlackDonald (1126) - Gulf Shores, Alabama, USA - AUG 4, 2009
This is one of my least favorite beers at 5 seasons. It’s very tart and acidic in the nose, but than follows through into a lackluster malt background, that has some sweet chocolate notes along with some dried raspberry.
