Light brass color. Decent dryness. Very similar to their Munich Helles. So there. GTAEgeek (2257) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - APR 7, 2015
On tap at the brewpub. Lovely dark copper color and a little cloudy. Brilliant nose of caramel, candy cherries, and a touch of rye. Sweet and syrupy, with a touch of bitterness and spice. Medium body, smooth, and creamy. This is a nice, flavorful, and approachable lager. kwoeltje (2233) - Manchester, Missouri, USA - DEC 29, 2002
A nice malty dark lager. This is really a good example of the style. ....... whaleman (2178) - North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 25, 2005
Clear golden-copper body. Malty nose of bread crusts and light spice. Nice malty character, medium sweet with moderate bitterness in the finish. Fairly complex in subtle ways and not at all cloying. A nice, subtle Vienna. Not bad for the requisite brewpub amber.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2005 Amber with thick white head. Aroma of sweet malts, cereal grains, and bready lager yeast. Taste is grainy, with a chewy bready character. Well crafted and balanced lager.

Clear sparkling amber, creamy white head. Nose of toasted caramel and toffee malt, touches of bread throughout. Nice balance with toasty flavors of more caramel and toffee, and a light bitterness keeping the sweet malt in check. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, clean toasted malt finish. A good session brew…

Draft at the brewery: Poured golden yellow/amber with a small white head. Light earthy aroma with some fruit. Mild earthy hop flavor with a lightly bitter finish. Very well done. 21iceman40 (1735) - Grafton, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 31, 2005
Copper, the blend of malts and hops is nice, good session beer.I didnt realize that.... wunderbier (1434) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 16, 2004
Draft, tall lager mug. Caramel malt (M); flowery, citric hops (L). Straightforward, clean lager aroma. Light ruby-red color with a thin eggshell colored head. Moderately sweet flavor becomes a lightly sweet, lightly bitter, lightly acidic finish. Medium-light body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: tasty, but a little watery. Pint at brewery - Aroma of toasty lager malts with a touch of hops. Pours copper with a small head and decent lacing. Flavor matches aroma. Palate is crisp and clean. An easy drinking brew.
