Hoppy and citrusy in both the aroma and flavor. This is a great example of a hop lovers IPA. Great from start to finish. aracauna (3637) - Georgia, USA - JAN 8, 2004
Hazy dark armber with wet white head that laces nicely. Big aroma, lemon zest hops are huge. The flavor is also big on the hops, slightly less of the citrus here, they come through most in the lingering bitter finish that is restrained just enough to avoid being harsh. As it warmed a slight herbally or spicey note came out in the hop profile that was quite nice. Nice toasty, biscuity malt fills the flavor out to keep it from being one-dimensional. Very light sweetness. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Excellent IPA. UNCCTF (587) - Cary, North Carolina, USA - JUL 1, 2005
On tap at the brewpub. Now THIS is an IPA! Big hop aroma, abrasive hop mouthfeel, and the initial flavor is like a big huge hoppy kick in the teeth. I loved this beer. kwoeltje (2233) - Manchester, Missouri, USA - FEB 13, 2004
A solid "West Coast" IPA from the Southeast. Medium gold. Floral/citrus hops aroma. Excellent hop bite without being over the top. mdi (573) - Nebraska, USA - DEC 25, 2004
I’m assuming that this is the beer I had on tap at the pub. All I have in my notes is IPA. Catty, citric, piney nose. Nice maltiness with an apricot passionfruit character. Nice hoppy IPA that seems failry big.

Pours a somewhat cloudy brownish-golden with a fairly thick head. Aroma is strongly hoppy and has a piney hint that promises a well-hopped beer. Flavor is seriously hoppy and has a smoky undertone and fruity hints. The satisfyingly hop-bitter finish will please anybody who likes the taste of hops. biermonk (265) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - FEB 6, 2004
Wonderful IPA- Aroma and flavor were a blast of citrus hops...mmmm good. Very heavily hopped but not overly bitter a great example of the American rendition of the IPA desurfer (1302) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - DEC 21, 2007
Slightly cloudy amber body with little head. Aroma is hoppy and sweet. Flavor is full of citrus and pine hoppiness; crisp and fresh, balanced with moderate maltiness. Finishes clean and dry. There’s nothing like a super-fresh IPA in tap. goldtwins (4320) - Nesconset, New York, USA - SEP 5, 2005
Tap at brewpub. Hazy amber color with a small white head. Hoppy citrus aroma with sweet caramel malt and sweet fruits. Flavor matches aroma with citrus taste and bitterness. Medium body. mcc5468 (122) - USA - SEP 1, 2008
Noce fresh citrus hop smell. Pours a dark amber color. Taste did not disappoint - fresh grass/citrus hop taste. Not overpowering but enough to let you know you are drinking an APA. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. Good beer.
