Appearance: Rustic, well-hazed amber-hued body with a small ivory head and minor lacing on the way down.

Smell: Flying B is slight sweetish in the nose of caramel flecked breadiness rounding out notes of earthy spices, bubble gum, and banana.
Taste: Deeply bready malts, some sweetish dark caramel and a fair helping of free-trade banana puree. Hint of coriander. A little fig fruitiness. Medium bitterness. Earthy coriander begins to grow, begins to take over until the drying, still a bit earthy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation.
Overall: I liked it well enough.
Pint at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy dark orange with nice head formation. Aroma is surprisingly good. Lots of clean PNW hops right up front. I get pine and citrus with a woody bite. I can’t detect any Belgian qualities by the nose. The flavor follows with a terrific sharp hop bite. Piney bitterness is here with pineapple notes and a grassy, forest-like hint. Any Belgian flavor here is "wild" but plays second fiddle to the hops. This is a good IPA. chrisv10 (18208) - DENMARK - MAY 31, 2010
Draft. Dark amber/brown body with big off-white head. Flavour is malt, caramel, fruit and hops. Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - MAY 30, 2010
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy, orange-copper colored body with an inch thick, creamy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma has some slightly estery Belgian yeast with a good amount of earth and pines, yet leans more toward the yeast. Sweeter fruits with a lighter citrus, banana, and spice. Light malt backing. Flavor is similar. Sweeter fruits with some citrus, a light spicing, Belgian yeast, and some caramels that offer a nice balance. Finishes a bit yeasty with a light to moderate, clean, earthy bitterness that leaves a fairly lengthy aftertaste following a medium, smooth body and moderate carbonation. Overall, a solid Belgian IPA. Well balanced with a nice yeast and hop flavor. Not much to complain about here. Butters (4063) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAY 8, 2010
Clear copper pour, some white lacing. Nose is decent, like old faded hops. Flavor is alcohol heat, and lots of fruitiness, like berries not citrus. Dunno about this one, maybe i just wasnt in the mood. Did give me wicked indigestion though....

Nice Amber with a big head. Hops are present and clean but not overwhelming. Nice stone fruit underneath. Easy drinking. craftbeerdesign (2254) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAY 5, 2010
draft. pours a deep orange color with a 2 finger white fluffy head... aromas of light hops, Belgian yeast and some sweet spices... medium body throughout with more yeast, light fruit notes, some spice and a clean bitterness... very drinkable Belgian IPA.... wonderful finish filled with more light fruit notes and a light bitterness. kp (10881) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - APR 24, 2010
