Nice light roast. Clear cola brown body. This really isn’t as big as I’d think from a doppelbock. Tastes more like a schwarzbier. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 7, 2015

Draft - Toasted malts, chocolate and some grain. Dark clear amber with a decent beige head. Roasted malts, toffee and a long dark sugary finish. GTAEgeek (2502) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAY 6, 2014
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a nice ruby-hued brown, with a small, beige head and a bit of lacing. The aroma is white bread, molasses, and light savory spice. Sweet, with just a token effort at bittering to balance, which is actually what I’m looking for in a doppelbock. Medium body, with a slightly grain, clean mouthfeel. Overall, this is a nice, drinkable, and sweet beer. Nothing special, but well made and tasty. jrob21 (3879) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - APR 30, 2014
On tap at the pub. Nutty caramel and candi sugar. Baked bread flavors all really good to style. A little more body than what you usually get here so points for that.

Comes out of the tap an opaque chocolate brown with a fairly thick and foamy pale wheat head. Malty aroma has subtle woody and yeasty hints. Robust flavor has malty, cloves, nutty, smoky and woody notes with a touch of yeast. Smooth texture has good fullness and fizz. Overall, darn good. Gimme a high 5 on this one! msante79 (2244) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - APR 7, 2013
