Pours opaque coffee sable with a nice tan head. aroma presents milk chocolate, roast malt and quality coffee. Flavor delivers all that the aroma promises, and adds nutty and subtle molasses tones to the mix. Mouthfeel features good body and fizz, not as rich as the best stouts but more than adequate. Milk it for all it’s worth. chinchill (5226) - South Carolina, USA - NOV 16, 2014
On tap at the brewpub.
Black and opaque with a decent head but little lacing.
Aroma: simple dark roasted malts; but no obvious flaws.
flavor follows and has a bit of burnt toast.
Mildly bitter by the finish, and clearly low sweetness for style.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a dark brown almost black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty sweetish chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty sweetish chocolate finish. ChainGangGuy (4919) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - JUN 2, 2011
Appearance: Dark brown body with a slim, slender head the color of water damp sand.
Smell: Dark, roasty malts with a scent of coffee-flavored ice cream and bittersweet chocolate morsels.
Taste: Roasty and sweet at the open, with bittersweet chocolate and dark caramel dusted with instant coffee powder. Shot of cream. A touch of Black Twizzler nibs. Earthy, roasty bitterness, though pretty mild. Even a hint of floral, citrusy hops far underneath the malts. Smooth, roasty finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-light carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel.
Overall: Tasty. Tried side-by-side with the milk stout dosed with espresso and, almost shockingly, the espresso version was thinner and faint in nearly all its characteristics. Stick with the Rosebud, I say!
