Never heard of a pale stout before but I look forward to trying more. This was excellent!
Pour is hazy golden; does not look like a stout at all. Aroma is malt, coffee, vanilla, chocolate. Nutty coffee flavor with some chocolate and spices. Very smooth and clean finish.
750ml bottle poured a murky orange hue w/ huge lasting creamy white head. Boozy green chili and sweet vanilla aromas. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/ a bold bitter finish. Tastes are coffee, vanilla, vodka, cacao and grass.

Unique. Faint aroma of roasted malts and coffee. It gets points for color of a dirty golden, which was is somewhat confusing given some of the stout-like characteristics. Palate is medium-weight with an average carbonation. Flavors are sensed better with the eyes initially closed because it does come off as more of an herb to spiced beer with the roasted, chocolate and coffee flavors. Good and different. 750 ml. bottle. Bought on a recent trip to San Antonio. Big problem with this bottle. Huge gusher and had an over powering aroma and taste of jalapenos. WTF. Not what I was expecting or what the label said at all. Must have been a labeling error. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 5, 2014
Pours a golden slightly hazy color with white head. Some roast, cocoa nobs, and malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Different. rougeau13 (3279) - Richmond, Texas, USA - MAY 13, 2014
This is pretty cool. Somewhat hazy golden with a large whitish head. Aroma of a stout...coffee, dark chocolate, roast, some earth and musty grain. Taste is bitter and toasty, grainy, and spicy. Above average carbonation for a stout and medium-full body.

I had no idea what to expect from a "pale stout" but that description totally nails it. In a blind tasting I doubt I could single this one out from more traditional dark stouts. Lots of chocolate and coffee, maybe a little lighter roast. vlan1 (220) - Austin, Texas, USA - APR 27, 2014
Pours a hazy yelllow/tan with small head. Aromas of expresso and toasty nuts. Taste is coffee, silky oats and hints of chocolate. The flavor is really a big mind**** because it doesnt look anything like you would expect it would taste. Really awesome stuff. merc7186 (3160) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - MAR 3, 2014

My eyes aren't what they used to be and considering the writing on the side of the bottle is meant so only an ant can read, I had no idea what I just opened. Imagine my surprise when I tasted chocolate when I was expecting a saison(judging by the appearance). Very very good and interesting. Now I know why it's name is Camo.Wish this were on draught here in DFW.

Close your eyes and smell.... Nothing what it looks like. This was unexpected and delicious.
