UPDATED: AUG 1, 2014 Dark reddish brownish amber with a resilient foamy cream colored head. Aroma of pumpkin, plum, caramel, lychee, spice, and light smoke. Taste is very well balanced; maltiness, bitterness, spice, smoke, and fruit flavors all in great proportion. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Very well done. sjohnny (686) - - MAR 2, 2014
Slightly smoky, sweet, fruity. Cloudy orange amber with a thin off white head. Smoky but not overly so. Light with a soft mouthfeel. Earthy. Veggie. Fruity. More earthy on the finish with a little warmth. This was talked up pretty well and it's not bad but not all that was described. Bottle from Errl. Thanks, Chris! Batch #1. Deep orange brown. Pumpkin spice on the nose. Pumpkin flesh, spices, light smokiness. Full bodied and malty. Dry, not overly spiced...my kind of pumpkin beer. dfinney23 (3424) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 6, 2014
Pours deep amber with a thick white head. Pumpkin, smoke and spices, like eating pumpkin pie around a campfire. Sounds even better than s’mores.

A solid pumpkin aroma accompanied with the approprate spice fragrances. Pours a slightly hazy mahogany color with an inch of tan foam which provides moderate lacing. The taste is pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice with some bread showing up in the finish. There is also some hoppy citrus notes in the aftertaste. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Overall, this was a tasty and enjoyable pumpkin ale. I wish it had a slightly creamier mouthfeel. 5000 (6900) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - DEC 23, 2013
Bottle:   Deep dark and dirty amber, very muddy, small sudsy tannish head, little lacing.   Muted spices on the nose, soft biscuit, a little wort like.   Spiced up front, somewhat assertive but its muted, a little dull.   Smoke is faint.   A bit bready, nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice linger.   Has a somewhat creamy finish, reminds me a bit of Elysian The Great Pumpkin on the finish.   Wished this one were brighter in its spices, with more smoke.   Tasty but fairly mediocre.   Thanks for the bottle Bill! Nice head that lasts; distinct smoky flavor separate from the aroma. Pumpkin spices as an aftertaste that lingers on the palate very pleasantly.

Seasonal pumpkin brew. Notes of pumpkin and spice. Smooth head. Tastes a bit sweet but not too molassesy. Like biting into someone’s pumpkin pie to sample and then moving on to the next desert. In addition you can sense the alcohol, which seems like it should be hidden more. Overall good but as far as pumpkin ales it should be re-configured. It’s not balanced enough. Pours a deep amber with little and quickly dissipating white head. Tastes of pumpkin spice and light smoke. Ends a bit dry and bitter.
