Tap at the brewpub, NYC. Pours clear, red-brown with a fine, tan cream head. Lots of toasty chocolate and caramel in the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with toasty caramel and mild milk chocolate. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Toasty malt finish with more caramel, fine dirt and light cocoa. On tap at 508. Pours a lightly hazed brown amber with a thin white head. Sweet nutty malt, toasted sesame. Really nice aromas. Medium bodied, sweet and almost tart, moves into a paper taste for a second and then nutty malt. Not sure if there’s an infection or not, but it seems like a nice base for a sour. Probably not intentional or to style, but since I like sour stuff, this works nicely and still tastes good. A bit more paper, zesty malt and a touch of acid. Aroma: The nose is roasty malts, with some toffee, nuts, and a little caramel
Appearance: It pours a clear light brown color with an orange hue, minimal head and lace
Flavor: Much as the nose previewed, this one has a sweet and roasty taste
Palate: It has a smooth and clean feel, a soft carbonation, a medium body, and a lasting duration
I felt that this one was a nice example of the nutty and roasty type of brown ale. I enjoyed drinking it, and I thought it felt well-made. Another good one from 508.

Appearance slight haze on light brown. Medium , off white top. Sparse lace. 3+
Flavor and Palate : Medium bodied with fuller walls. Caramel, nutty , brown sugars with drier mid. Easy going, clean and drinkable. Hint of black tea and British like hop ending.
