Aroma: The nose has some smoked malts and peat, the hops don’t come out until it warms
Appearance: This one pours an unclear reddish brown color with a beige head and fairly heavy lace
Flavor: The flavor is fairly smokey, with a light rye, light sweetness and some hop notes as well
Palate: The body is medium-full, it has a soft carbonation, a somewhat creamy feel, and a dry finish
The smoke definitely dominates the hops in this one, but you can still tell that there is an IPA hiding somewhere in there. Interesting for sure, and pretty unique. I still rather enjoyed it.
Bottle. Pours amber with a beige head. Peat smoked malty aroma, with some light malty sweetness, light floral hops, and a hint of rye. The flavor has a good deal of smoked malts and lighter rye malts, with light flowery hops. Good stuff. Radek Kliber (7483) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - APR 4, 2012

Aroma medium dry smoke, on malty side. Clean, interesting fuse.
Appearance hazed, dark amber with lighter top. 3+
Flavor and Palate : Dry low, fine smoky elements. Alcohol well hidden. Sweet malty base. Rye blended well with Rauch character. Reminded me a bit of Eiche from Bamberg.
Bottle at 508 Restaurent - shared with Mette. Clear red/brown - offwhite head. Nice smokey notes. Ok bitterness. Fruity. Red berries. Nutty. Fruity. Spicy rye notes. Ok hoppy. A bit strange mix - but it works.
