On tap at the Queen Vic. Pours a cloudy coppet with a small off white head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a faint yeast and bready malt. Thin mouthfeel with a light caramel malt and light bitter finish, kinda watery. A decent belgian strong ale from 512, prefer the original. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - NOV 1, 2010

(draught at Addison saucer) rich copper-orange with small ring of white bubbles. Nose of brandy, dark fruits, big time caramel and maple. Taste of mild oak, brandy, not much alcohol heat but the flavor is there, dark fruits and caramel. Linger of ripe banana and medium to low carbonation. Big flavors that are easy to drink. On tap at the Whip In.
The beer pours a hazy amber color with a white head. The aroma is very complex. I get a lot of brandy notes, but I also get some grapes, dark fruit, caramel malt and alcohol. The flavor is just as nice. I get a a lot of brandy and oak notes, with some alcohol, grape and dark fruit notes. I also get quite a bit of vanilla and brown sugar notes. The mouthfeel is a little bit thinner than I like and the carbonation is about medium and is just right for the style. The beer tastes a lot like brandy and is a very interesting take on barrel-aging. Very nice. mar (5416) - Dallas, Texas, USA - NOV 1, 2010
Tap at addison saucer. Deep cloudy amber, cream head. Wood, syrup, brandy, and dried fruits. Nice palate, brandy really takes over this beer and melds with the fruits quite well.

On tap at the Gingerman. The look is dark red to maroon with a slight off white head. The smell is wood, caramel, alcohol, and fruits. The taste is wood, caramel, definite barrel, raisins, and alcohol. kidmartinek (4999) - austin, Texas, USA - OCT 23, 2010
On tap at the 42nd anniversary of the Draught House. Dark amber color with a orangish purplish timt. Strong head that goes the mile. Very strong malt aroma with little else. No yeasty smell. Flabor is strong, almost rich malt. The body is full but the mouthfeel is smooth, flowing, and mild. It starts off tame, then the carbonation develops in the mouth. He hints of brandy sweetness can be detected after a while but you have to know what brandy tastes like first. jkwalking05 (4740) - Arlington, Texas, USA - DEC 21, 2011

Tap at the Moth. Soooo glad I am having this tonight! Pours a clear orange color with very light head. Aroma is nice! Woody, raisin, alcohol and slight spices. Flavor is very dry wood with a slight tart fruity flavor. Finishes super dry and wood tinted. Some sweetness. Overall interesting. Walt (2449) - Austin, Texas, USA - DEC 12, 2010
