On tap @ Hopdoddy, SO-CO...Delicious! Lighter than some of the other local IPAs offered...The intent was not to over-load prior to the burger!! Back to beer:
P: Served on tap in a chilled-goblet...
A: Golden-orange, filtered, leaving a nice lacing 1.5" head...GREAT!
T: Bright, clean nice hops up front...good tasty citrus (grapefruit), along with some other nice lingering pine notes....
P: Medium carbonation, medium bodied, great for the style :~)
O: One of the best austin (or if you prefer TX beers)... I’ve had since moving to TX in April ’13....competes with the best of the NW IPA for sure...go ahead try one, it won’t disappoint...Bucket head ipa (thirsty planet brewing...which to be honest is getting a ’BAD-RAP’ at a rating of 89/74...they should at least be in the low ’90s...)...Also, lost coast ipa (Real Ales/in Blanco TX) does a VERY FINE ipa!!....Chasin’ cheers :~) locapour (6) - Austin, USA - AUG 3, 2013 does not count
I featured this beer on an episode of Locapour: http://locapour.tv/austin/512ipa
It’s a great beer. One of the must haves in Austin. You can find it around town at just about any place that believes customers deserve to drink great craft beer. FriendOfBeer (101) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUL 17, 2013
Appearance is a beautiful lions mane orange. Aroma is of fresh fruit. Taste is of apricots and peaches. Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated and then the bitterness fades in at the end and lasts for the aftertaste in which the apricot and peaches taste still remains. Overall a well balanced beer with a great fruity flavor and adequate alcohol presence.

Tap at the Hey Merchant, Houston, 21/05/13.
Lightly hazed golden amber with a thin off white head. Good lacing ensues.
Nose is pale malt, hops, light vegetal notes, bitter orange.
Taste comprises orange pith, caramel, sugars, hops, light pine.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, hop bitterness in the finish.
Average IPA - entry level affair. bbcd (214) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUN 21, 2013

Poured at Stubbs cloudy golden orange. Sweet light citrus aroma. Big on the bitter pine. Medium mouthfeel. A decent beer but a bit one dimensional. zach8270 (4022) - Henrietta, New York, USA - APR 24, 2013
(draft @ The Esquire - San Antonio, TX) Hazy gold pour with a fluffy white head. Bitter and grassy hop aroma with some mild citrus. Flavor is definitely more the dry and bitter hop than the juicy citrus hops. Smooth however and easy drinking. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - APR 15, 2013
Draught. Pours an amber color with a moderate white head. Nose is a little hoppy and floral. Taste is a little bit bitter, and it has a nice bite. Not too bad. crajun (1226) - , Texas, USA - APR 14, 2013
On tap at Holy Grail and had side by side with Franconia dipa. This had less aroma (slight pine) and much less hops but wat was thicker with more lacing. Well balanced but the lack of hop flavor made me question ipa relevance. Still enjoyed drinking it kevinator (2176) - The Colony, Texas, USA - APR 5, 2013
An above-average IPA. The aroma was piney and citrus but could have been stronger. Nice copper color with a white head. Average weight with a carbonated sharpness. Not heavy at all. Good blend of malt and hops with the latter taking front stage. Grapefruit is what I always detect. Great with chili and always a good staple beer.
